QUOTE(kyouri @ Nov 12 2016, 02:32) It doesn't come naturally when your a 1h mage. And it doesn't help I haven't played 1h style since level 90s~ so no 1h set. Just trying to minmax my block gains from proficiency. Ooh, I see, that does make good sense (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE(kyouri @ Nov 12 2016, 02:32) Wasn't ether tapping a thing a long time ago when potion limit was capped? It was a thing in the same way that it could potentially be a thing nowadays. It is and was an option, but someone at that point would be a whole lot better off playing a lower difficulty (or fleeing) than to start spending a lot of time on managing Ether Tap. It was never a good choice. QUOTE(Sapo84 @ Nov 12 2016, 02:23) At least if you don't choose PHP. I know this was said in jest, but what are the alternatives that integrate with HTML just as easily?

QUOTE(Sapo84 @ Nov 12 2016, 10:23) Sure, windows is crashing so often that most of my crashes of the last 5 years were hardware related (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) (and windows scheduler from Vista onwards is actually pretty decent but whatever) But that is beyond the point, the quote is from many years ago (<2000), and I want you to remember than 15 years ago or so installing linux on a laptop was basically an exercise in frustration, installing working drivers for everything was rocket science and the battery duration could probably be measured in minutes. Not that hard to be honest if you have collected the required drivers before compiling the Kernel. Oooo..... Panda is only 3 years old so Panda dunno any thing 15 years ago. QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Nov 12 2016, 06:49) I was bored and felt like figuring this out
My repair cost in the past 56006 rounds (about a month and a half) was 287k, and I have Repair Bear 1. Base repair cost per year with no perks: 4.592m/year
Repair Bear 2: Costs 5k hath, benefit is (4.592m * .25) every year = 1.15m per year => Costs 5k hath = 25m cred => Pays off in (25m/1.15m) years = 22 years, given my level of grinding
Repair Bear 3: Benefit over level 2 is (4.592m * 0.15) = 689k/year => Costs 7k hath = 35m cred => Pays off in (35m/.689m) = 50.8 years
Repair Bear 4: Benefit over level 3 is (4.592m * 0.1) = 459k/year => Costs 10k hath = 50m cred => Pays off in (50m/.459m) = 108.9 years
I think that math is right. Of course, this is all at my current level of grinding, which is a moderate amount, but less than some. If you grind twice as much as me, level 4 pays off in a bit over 50 years.
I can imagine myself in a dark room at 75... "Click... click... only... 60 million... monsters to go... and then... Repair Bear 4 will have... finally paid off... click..."
So it does pay back (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) though after a long time(I used to thought it will be around 200-300 years).

Well, I actually think PHP kind of sucks (bad synthax, strange and inconsistent behaviour, webservers can be configured in a gazillion of ways that can radically change what the language does) and I'm not really sure that easy integration with HTML is a good idea (it lead to A LOT of bad code because it encouranges non-programmers to just hack some code around). Anyway, I would choose any language coupled with a decent templating engine over PHP, even if the learning curve is steeper and deploying is harder (well, with the *framework of the moment* in node you can probably be as productive, with the little problem that 2 years later you will find that 80% of the npms used are not mantained anymore). Good luck finding drivers for italian ADSL usb modems back in the day (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) My point was that linux used to be a time sink so that quote is pretty justified (and I didn't quote it because i hate linux, I quoted because it's famous, funny and gives the idea of time=money is pretty)

while you're at it, try to reach 45 to unlock Confuse. not so useful, but still another option (and easy to reach as well). plus, at 100 prof you'll earn Magnet too. but you cannot do it now because it would take ages, try at 250~300 prof

yes. put in rotation all the deprecating spells you have, not only weaken. which means slow, sleep... whatever you have. at least you won't have to spam defend and may only go with hovering. plus cracklingcast to have mana draughts on, and no haste.

is there no faster way than this? Yes. Crude IW monsters do much less damage than GF monsters, so no need to defend. If the monsters start doing more damage past turn ~500 and it's annoying, attack and kill them to progress to the next round. Of course, use one of the scripts that casts on hover for maximum t/s.

Hello guys! I'm coming to you because I feel like I'm stuck in the game. At the level 200, I was able to clean almost all the first page in Hell mode. Now, I can't even clean Killzone in "Hell" mode (I lost 5 successive days). So I guess it's about my equipment. When I asked you what was better at level 100, you said leather + two handed was the best but I should switch to one-handed at around lvl 200 ... So what should I do? screenshots: [ imgur.com] http://imgur.com/a/ZSi2kThis post has been edited by Falcolight: Nov 12 2016, 22:52
