About the equipment you can buy, I see that all the good stuff has a high level bound to it. Do I have to be that level to use said equipment or can you just use those at any level?

at least 100 levels below, yep. at very low levels it's quite suggested to go on maximum with averages from bazaar due to the speed with which you level up and the easiness of the game

How can I increase my t/s? It's currently ~1.4 t/s

But I'm pretty sure it's 3 t/s, Counter Plus isn't that accurate I guess, but I recall reading some posts about someone having 4 t/s or 5 t/s,
From 3 to 4 would be a great increase in clear speed (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I use HV Random Encounter Notification, it's much simpler and has the timer on hentaiverse.org, which is more convenient than having to be on http://*.e-hentai.org/* for the script to run.

But it's not automatic.

I prefer the former, as the included log is a nice touch for no additional effort. The script does refresh the page a number of times when an RE or Dawn is occurring, but the matter resolves itself eventually. This quirk is not a deal-breaker to me.

There are a few things that I would like to tweak, more than I already tweaked anyway, but that is a project for another day.

I've been using this estoc for mowing down the last rounds on Hell, but I've been wondering if a katana is better, I mean the estoc has PA which is useful for fighting the schoolgirls, but I see that bidders in the auctions always go for the leg ethereal katanas of slaughter

Estoc > Katana

If you want to play 2H, you have to go for a "of Slaughter" weapon, preferably Ethereal.
An Estoc or a Mace is good, it's just that the Katana can be used for Niten too.

For a Mage build, you got to have good gear, and kill them fast.

Level < 150 can get a free average protection set(with 1h/2h)&potions&scrolls in ArbiterErii's wts,pretty useful for newbies who does not have full set equipments,remember equipment level will be assigned to your current level when you equip it.

actually you can kill the tree last, but you should at least have Silence spell. and it's surely not worth it. go for the tree.
