It's not about the player level, spells are unlocked depending on the proficiency level in the relative school of magic.
So you probably need 120 deprecating prof to cast silence.

Not sure about the level though, I was 250+, but the prof needed is indeed 40 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

at 120 you'll already have unlocked every deprecating spell possible - including Magnet - since a while. you can still go there if you want longer spells, but to unlock Silence only 40 is needed.

lv120, according to wiki. i'm pretty sure since back then i asked an user who was in that range to check when he unlocked all those spells.

you may start to grind a bit of prof. cast whatever you have available (weaken in primis) every now and then and you should reach 40 quite soon. you may gain prof even if the spell doesn't land, so worry not. just cast it.

at your level 2H + Leather may be the best style available, but soon 1H + Leather and later 1H + Power will take the upper hand. mind to tell us what you're reading?

No need to find power armour until around lvl 200+ and even then, you can still do well with a mix of regular plate armour along with whatever power armour you manage to pick up or find in the market/bazaar

What I did before, with thanks to the guys here, was 2h (estoc or mace) + leather up until 170 or so then 1h + leather until 200+.

You should look at the FreeShop in the WTS subforum while you're still below lvl 150, there are some unassigned gears that you can ask for there.

no. go on with Leather. they are a decent compromise between offense and defense
