QUOTE(Chraunzen @ Oct 24 2016, 02:40) What's the point in having a *element* Spike Shield? Doesn't look that useful to me, or am I missing something?
When monsters hit you, they can get a malus from the spike shield. Each shield has one different. Plus, that proc decreases the elemental mitigation of a matching element* by 25%, making the monsters that get the proc receive increased damage from the elemental strike of weapons/spells of mages So using for example the fire spike with a Cold Strike on the rapier is good, since the monster that will get the proc "searing skin" will get more damage by that * fire spike -> 25% cold mitigation reduction + 10% damage malus elec spike -> 25% fire mitigation reduction + 10% less chance to evade and resist cold spike -> 25% wind mitigation reduction + 10% less attack speed wind spike -> 25% elec mitigation reduction + 10% less accuracy If I remember correctly edit: guh (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) This post has been edited by ppp82p: Oct 24 2016, 02:48

Which kind/rarity of garbage equipment are worth salvaging and which ones are better off directly sold to the bazaar.
All I remember was its better to salvage all the cloths, shields and crude + fair power armours then sell the rest. Am I missing something?

Check out the material prices, and then check to see if bazaar price is higher or lower than expected revenue from salvaging. Repeat for all equipment types.
Due to value of HGC and HGW, Mag+ cloth and shields/staffs should always be salvaged.

Thanks. I think mid grade stuff arent that expensive so I guess that means bad exquisites are better as bazaar food then

Mid-grade materials used to be worth somewhat more in the past, but they aren't anymore, so it's harder to justify salvaging Exq.

QUOTE(DamienCash @ Oct 22 2016, 12:22) I have IW'd two Legendary items on Hard/Nightmare thus far. It took me days if not weeks since I would only chip in a dive or two a day, depending on my motivation. If one is patient or frugal like me, I vouch for self-IW'ing. Otherwise, I would suggest looking for an IW service if the item is worth it.
OK, thanks for the inclusion of your self IW experience. IW service? How does that work? Give an item to someone else, they grind through item world for you and give it back? And when you request a PM, is that here in the forums, or Mooglemail? I can send both, I suppose, but don't want to anoy you. I'm definitely interested in lower level shield...

Generally anything is acceptable, but I think MM is a better idea because a few people have an annoying habit of ignoring all private messages on the forum.

yep. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) but MM gives only the warranty of the time in which it's read, not to be answered...

So how does buying a gold star work exactly? Is it just as with any other item that sits in your inventory and someone can mail it to you freely?

1-You send the gold star sellers the price(usually @ somewhere around 30m) 2-The gold star sellers send bitcoin with equal value to 100$ to your bitcoin wallet3-Hit "Apply BTC to Donation". This post has been edited by Sweetness Overload: Oct 25 2016, 05:05

Is the Fus Roh Dah skill any good? In particular, would it be better to use it in PFUDOR random encounters, or just stick with Shield Bash + Vital Strike?

FRD only useful for stunlocking enemy (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) you can use this for PFfest with niten , 2H , DW (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) btw , try PF FSM with 4+1 setup ( unforged leg fenrir shoes to replace my cotton prof shoes ) ~ 25k magic score + 0.67 prof factor ~ 145 turns for FSM (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) slower than my 3+2 build that need around 110~120turns for FSM (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) This post has been edited by nobody_xxx: Oct 25 2016, 09:55

FSM has such high specific mitigation that you get way more benefit from extra prof against FSM than against normal monsters. (So don't take FSM results as representative of normality)

Speaking of FSM, is it okay to just clear its RoB fight on any difficulty just for noodlies? Finally decided to clear my RoB but only on Hard for the first time credit bonus.
