My staff prof is maxed. After my most resent level up, beating Konata got my to 414.76

Does 85 level really have that big of an effect on prof gain? Or is there some other factor we're missing.
One odd thing I noticed was that I my most recent beating-Konata-with-a-staff was the first one after unlocked Dæmon Duality but its gains were on the high side of the range from before.
Makes me wounder if damage dealt has some kind of effect on prof gain. For reference the attack on my staff set is 3709.

Percentage has nothing to do with connection, the increase is exactly the same (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Anyway, I can assure you that Free-Flowing Dust is pretty visible (exactly none of my times after unlocking it are worse than before, best times are visibley better).

To show it I can post my The Trio and the Tree progression (I save a png every time I manage to improve my times on one of the last six arenas).

It's pretty much 6-7%.
Same difference in DwD, but there Free-Flowing Dust is mixed with imperil.
On the other end DwD times fluctuate a lot less so the difference there (6.5%) is pretty much what I would expect from the perk on a 1H setup.

Damage perk will became better option after you have reach high ADB (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

That why I prefer forging my ADB first than damage perk (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

If you have something you're certain you'll use for a pretty long time, a rapier or a Slaughter armor, probably better to forge a few levels of those before the damage perk.

But once mild forging is done, the damage perk is probably better, because it's permanent over all styles and equipment sets.

If you forge just one equip, that's what happens. But a player will probably forge more evenly across all Power Slaughters + rapier, which means significantly greater damage for that (2k-hath-equivalent) spent.

What proportion of ADB is added by equipment for 1h heavy, anyone know? If equipment accounts for half of total ADB, then by forging all equips to 11, your weapons get *1.21 damage, which will give you an overall damage boost of about 10%, same as the perk.

Forging all to 11 costs a bunch of actuators and slaughters, about 1.9m + 4.5m = 6.4m worth, plus a tiny amount from HGM and catalysts, which comes out to significantly less than 2k hath = 11.6m. (Assuming someone forges evenly across all gears, which is not a good idea. rapier > armor > leggings etc.)

So maybe light forging is good, but past the first handful of Slaughters used, I'd prefer the first damage perk instead, for its permanence.
