Maybe you changed your equipment within that level and your older weap/armour gave you more mana conservation bonus or something which means you had less mana cost until you decided to equip a new gear which doesn't/has less mana conservation bonus/etc.
There's this mana cost modifier on the stat page under Magical Attack so observe that from time to time to see the changes in your spell costs
Right now my Mana Cost Modifier is 122.7%. With old equipment it was around 118% (max 4% difference).
I did change a piece of equipment
after the change happened. It did increase burden and interference as it was a leather gauntlet.
I change equipment very rarely (cos my new items suck).
-The first time the MP Cost changed mid-fight must have been due to me advancing a level, so I really did my research. But now it was a strange situation, so that is why I post.
To ppp82pI never used STAFF ever. Frugal armour? Never heard of it. I did use a piece of a heavy armor like 20levels ago. My conditions never got below 60%. Once I had to repair a dropped weapon. Once (like 25levels ago). It also shows on the left side of the screen under basic stats and titles that one has low durability of equipment. Shameful as it is, I only learned how to properly use focus just a while ago (I swear, it did not regenerate MP 6years ago), so I still only use it for mp regen.
Querry:
Are you people sure that this is not just
some monster's skill or
bugged debuff that does permanent changes in stead of temporary (never remember gatting debuffed in this game btw)? Maybe the equipment durability fault (never below 90% btw) or weapon/armor level difference that causes theis rapid mp cost change thingie?
Wiki says that it is not Difficulty level. Right?
Or is there a hidden stat?
Hipotesis:
My
account is like 6yo so the HV changed a lot since then (I did not play it at all for 5years), so maybe there are some OLD "redundant" stats that cause these interference? And now HV is simply BALANCING the old settings into the current algorithms and databases?
It would make sense as the change was "quite rapid" like: I was using the skill and next battle/wave the skill took much more MP, so I noticed (but definitely no LV UP then (I need 15K exp to increase a level)). There was like 1minute between me using the skill, so I noticed.
