I have some drop issue(get good drop mage set when I melee)

if my first peerless drop is another mage related

0 piercing mitigation is pretty bad, at your level I'd prefer leather regardless as soon as you see a Superior+.

ED price increase is gr8 for me right now since i cant clear at a quick enough speed to have to use more than 1 ED a day.

Equipment purchased from the Equipment Shop becomes untradeable when it gets to your inventory. Even if there was a good deal, one would not be able to resell something from there.

Although I am a lv62 I still feel like a noob sometimes, so I ask about a strange issue.
Although I roughly know the algorithm for SPELL COST and I have studies a lot on EHWiki (and appropriate forum section),
a strange thing happened to me DURING the battle:
the cost of spells suddenly increased permanently like 1-2 points of MP for no apparent reason.

-Today While fighting a wave* of monsters I noticed that a cheap spell suddenly became noticably more expensive. At first I thought that it was due to some monster's skill or because that I leveled up mid-fight, but I still had like 3000+ xp before lv.up. This is the second time something like this happened, so I post this querry...
*it happened twice already.happened first like 2weeks ago on Grindfest at my level around 40+, then today at lv61 during Arena fight (at 8-9wave I think)). The level up came like 2 waves later, but the cost stayed as "increased" value.

The first time it had happened (I was between lv30-40 some weeks ago (1.5 - 4), I noticed a mid-fight increase in CURE spell from 8mp cost to 11mp! And stuff like Immolation spell cost was 6 in stead of 2-3mp, but the cheap attact spells somewhat RETURNED to their old costs after a while (less than a day). I still dont know why such thing happened.


My theories:
Could it be that some HV update took place while I was in between rounds and spells became more expensive?
Or is there a monster skill hit me, or bug that increased my Burden or Interference? (these 2 stats did not change, and spell cost is the same even when I unequipped a heavy gounlet and stuff)
Is it possible that it is somewhat connected with a degradation of my equipment or it being too low a level (I still use lv.30 leggins (Im lv.62 btw) and (lv.31) sword, but the durablility is ok).
It might have been a rised spell Affinity like when 59.99 + 0.01 rise mid-fight become 60 and the Spell Cost Algorithm changed, but it should no affect the cost, only spell Power (says Wiki). I have no affinity that big btw.
My "Stamina" stat never really went below 99 (I battle only for a while, then I go doing other stuff).
I have no Hath perks.
In both situations I had very high Spirit and Overcharge.

I post because these 2 situations seem too unnatural and strange for me. Bug maybe?

BTW: Does HASTE spell affect the cost of other spells? While being hasted? I just started using it today (as it's available from lv60)

are you sure you didn't level up meanwhile? when you level up, spell cost raises. not dramatically, but still... at your level it should be the only thing which affects spell cost if i remember correctly

also, discard those Cotton/Silk and stick with Leather imo

and no, Haste doesn't affect spell cost. it affects only the duration of a turn for the player if compared to the duration of mobs' turn

That's the thing, I did check wheather I leveled up, but I did not.
I did lv.up like 2 waves later.
During the first situation, I might have crossed the lv40 treshold, but not right now 60-61 should do nothing. And I fought like 10+ waves before it happened.


BTW: What is wrong with cotton/silk equipment? These have no interference/burden. Do you mean slower increase in Light Armour affininty?

they have very bad mitigations. apart for this if you stick with only one type of armors, you can take advantage of the relative abilities. for example, with Leather you'll have bigger HP and MP tanks

last, uh - Silk with no BUR? may i see it?

Maybe you changed your equipment within that level and your older weap/armour gave you more mana conservation bonus or something which means you had less mana cost until you decided to equip a new gear which doesn't/has less mana conservation bonus/etc.

There's this mana cost modifier on the stat page under Magical Attack so observe that from time to time to see the changes in your spell costs
