I've noticed if you get the scavenging perk as high as you can, the "3 and 4 packs" of materials come fairly frequently.
With that, 3 whatever materials, and usually 1 high grade or binding.

From the little experience I have, I would recommend throwing tokens at scavenging, and leave the rest till it's maxed at the monster's PL level... ignore the other monsters for now.

Yeah, heh.. I wasn't clear. I meant stick to the one monster, and throw all assets into that one until another high PL can be afforded. Personally, I recommend PL[1000] due to the dramatic slow down of morale deteriorating. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

it still does. plus it reduces their cost and lowers the chance for the spell to be resisted, afaik

There were some shades and leathers unassigned, but they disappeared immediately.

1h+heavy, I have IA 1+2. Basically I'm trying to figure out what'll be more useful in the short and long run. I can almost afford either IA 3, Cry 1, or get OFC. As it is the highest difficulty I'm doing consistantly is hell, nintendo on shorter level arena. I'd read that as 1h you want IA up to 3 for Prot, SS and Spark. That's what I'd think I'd lean towards, but I don't know how useful OFC actually is.

among what you listed OFC is a priority - basically you can clean one round out of 3~4 with one move only if you have enough OC. pretty solid investment.
second priority, IA3. pretty solid investment too.
don't mess with Crys yet.

Avoid IA3 until 300+ or 350+, IA1 and 2 are much more justifiable than 3. (protection is near wasted in IA because it has long duration and low cost anyway)

OFC is good, but if you're only playing Hell or so it might not help as much as it would otherwise, maybe. But if the only other alternative is a crystal perk, and you don't play GF, that wouldn't really be worth it either.

Do you have a Legendary Slaughter rapier yet? Probably not, if you don't, I'd try for that first, that way you can IW10 and forge to 5+ and soulfuse. L Slaughter rapiers below 350 aren't common, but they still pop up every once in a while. If you can't find any (though you should be able to) then OFC is the next best option.

I've got my rapier.... forgot I need 3x fragments to soulbind at lvl + 100 so It'll be a while until I can scrounge up another 1000 fragments or level up to reduce the number.

Hello, I have a little problem and I'm not sure what happened but my Attack Base DMG is very low (1787), it's usually around 3k+ I think, I just noticed this after losing 6 rounds (in normal...) of Lv100+ arenas (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) I did my best to survive but what the hell... I just kept losing, normally I could beat those arenas, even in Nightmare, does anyone know what happened? Or am I being forced to upgrade my gear?

PS: are my PABs points okay? I'm not really sure what to invest in, either Str or Dex, I use a katana+wakizashi (niten) to clear the arenas quickly, I don't care much for my weapon proficiency since I'll change to rapier+shield at lv300 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) thanks.

(1) Always use Spark to keep from dying
(2) Repair your equipment if it's damaged, otherwise all of your stats will be significantly below what they could be
(3) Niten is quite a bad style before 300-something. Past level ~170, monsters just start hitting you too hard for Niten's low defenses to work. More proficiency = more ADB (more attack base damage).
(4) If you accidentally unslotted a weapon proficiency ability, that will seriously reduce your damage (assuming you had some proficiency to start with)

PABs don't matter much, but feel free to keep Int cost at 1/100th the cost of your other attributes or less; Int is near completely useless for melee.

Cracklingcast is the best way. after you take one infusion, it pops up to be taken again when it expires. Or ctrl+f1, I think, but I don't use that.
