i'd say no. PABs are right, suffix is unrelevant, but such block at such level... one may prefer to go for a so-so buckler of barrier or a good kite at that point, and at least spare matrixes

if you have the means to do so, gold stars (with benefits and perks) is a nice investment.
plus, i'd say IA2~3 and VV are almost mandatory nowadays.
they also say DD would be nice if you have enough funds.

problem isn't suffix. i'd prefer a Stoneskin with 60% block over a Protection with 0% block. problem is just the low block.

Both is a dealbreaker, if either were OK I'd say there was a chance (even if only a moderate one)

I play the lottery with one ticket only. Never won. Once, I bought 200 tickets - won a useless staff (I thought it was great, but no...). Peerless drops, you say? Do you still believe? It's just a tale we tell to little kids!

If you realy want to make progress, gold star would be a great investment. You may even want to consider donating actual BTC yourself, if you play a lot of HV. Good for the site, and good for your hobby.

I found a magnificent mace that needs 6x low grade metals for the first 5 upgrades, like the exq- stuff.
And it's not an obsolete item (98~ billion eid)

Mmm. Base PXP of 311. I'd guess that the upgrade calculator is based off of PXP rather than tier (even if tier is usually a good indicator of how much upgrades will cost).

This thing also is a Mag at 311 base PXP and requires 6 low-grade for the first upgrades.

So...now the doubt is, what will be the threshold?
I don't have anything between 311 and 320 PxP, and over 320 needs 4 Low Grades and 2 Mid Grades already

For the lower limit I do not know, because I don't have any equipment with low PXP. But for the upper limit, I have one with PXP 346 that needs 2 Low and 4 Mid, and one with PXP 350 that needs 6 Mid. To confirm this, we only need find something with PXP 347~349.

There are more ranges, these are the values I know:
- 6 low grades (311? and below)
- 4 low grades and 2 mid grades (315? - 331?)
- 2 low grades and 4 mid grades (336? - 346?)
- 6 mid grades (348? and above)

6 low grades:313 and below (including this piece)
4 low-grades, 2 mid-grades: 314-at least 335 (314,335)

Ok then:

- 6 low grades (313 and below)
- 4 low grades and 2 mid grades (314 - 335)
- 2 low grades and 4 mid grades (336 - 346/347?)
- 6 mid grades (347/348? and above)

We need only a piece with 347 PxP.
If I got right -------------'s values.

mat / 0.81 tier / 0.82 pxp
6 mid / Legendary / 348~
4 mid / Magnificent / 335~348
2 mid / Exquisite / 313~335
6 low / Superior and lower / ~313

As part of the transition process, I'm going to want a staff.

Would it be better to get a cold destruction one or a cold niflheim one? Taking into consideration the cost of acquiring and upgrading.

Also would it be ok to go 4 phases with an elementalist pants?
