Sucks, but there's nothing you can do. It clearly says that auctions can not be canceled for any reason.

Tier 3 elemental spells are not really necessary but nevertheless nice to have for the occasional facemelt. You'll want to have the first two spell tiers of the elements you are going to use the most. And Arcane Focus. Never leave home without Arcane Focus.

Likewise, heartseeker for melee players.

Is there any way to improve on the equipment's hit %, or is it already pre-set when the equipment was released? For the mace that i currently own, it's only 16% stunned for 2 turns. Fine Mace of Slaughter

Thanks to mitsos21 for your feedback & advice. Pity though, it's been working out so far for me for the last 10 levels, except I keep missing for many many times, especially during critical phases. QUOTE the proc chance itself can't be increased, but every melee crit cause the weapon to proc so if you want to stun more often you can simply work towards increasing your crit chance So how do I improve on the crit chance? With my current setup (using all heavy armour + mace), my crit chance stands at 18.1%. Thanks MidNightPass for your offer, I might just take you up on the offer. It certainly saves up a lot of time just to level up the equipment. Let me check out the stats first. Do I PM you on the selection/offer? This post has been edited by cyberwaveIT: Sep 20 2011, 15:14

As far as I know, either Power (heavy armor) or shade with shadowdancer suffix (light armor) can improve your critical chance directly. If you feel like your attacks keep missing, you could invest some exp points into dex. This post has been edited by foolboy: Sep 20 2011, 18:42

I always wondered whether Heartseeker increases my crit chance by flat 10% or by 10% of my crit chance (multiplicative)? Cause right now I feel like hitting 50% crit.

Thanks foolboy, I don't have good Power armor yet, I'll be looking around. I swapped some EXP into DEX, & yes the crit chance has improved by 1% (whatever helps).

I have 20 tokens of blood sitting around. Should I defeat the four girls again or just save them for the three that will unlock at lv100?
It seems 1,000C and a trophy isn't enough incentive to go in and use up 1 or more of life scrolls, infusions, and mana pots to beat them (fast).
Also, should I challenge those three unlocked at lv100 or wait until I'm lv110 so that I can go in casting silence to save on casting spark of life or using life scrolls? From what I've learned, silence will basically force the enemy to just attack me physically and not use skills or spirit attack. Right?

Probably better to hold onto the tokens. And yes silence will make them whack you instead. I don't think they even *try* using their specials when silenced.
As for 100 vs 110. Just depends how much you want to spend. I didn't do mine until 150+

Is there any reason why you didn't do it earlier? Is it more expensive to defeat them at lv100? (Stupid karma system not letting me + you until I + 3 more different people...)

[ www.pixhost.org] (IMG:[t3.pixhost.org] http://t3.pixhost.org/thumbs/1431/9095781_ablities.png) [ www.pixhost.org] (IMG:[t3.pixhost.org] http://t3.pixhost.org/thumbs/1431/9095830_stats1.png) Hello. I have been working on creating melee fast niten ichiryu character. For all intents and purposes, I have been doing relatively fine. I have been playing on hard, sometimes higher difficulties in the arenas. I have also been buying some good equipment from the forums. My concern is that I have been using a lot of mana items. I don't have a shield, so I have been using shield magic, haste, and sometimes shadow. Therefore, magic is key. In grindfest and in the arena, I use a Godly Mana Potions around battle 10 and then another around 20 or so and then another after every 3 battles. Should I be using this many potions at this point? If not, how can improve my character so I'm a little more efficient? I am not quite sure how to post my equipment(I'm new at this) so I will post it as soon as I figure it out.

If not, how can improve my character so I'm a little more efficient? I am not quite sure how to post my equipment(I'm new at this) so I will post it as soon as I figure it out. From my experience as a 2-handed melee character, I never bothered with casting abilities other than Shield and Cure until I needed Weaken and dabbled in Poison for the four girls unlocked at lv75 in the Ring of Blood. I would go to the Trainer and train up Ability Boost to fill up all my Health Tank and Magic Tank abilities as more HP means spending less time healing and more MP means a larger pool to cast Cure and Shield from and getting more bang for your buck with mana pots. You can also opt to reset your abilities rather than pay and wait to train for more AP. The general strategy with a 2-handed bleeding weapon that I used up until around lv80~ was to always have Shield on and just keep whacking at things until they're bleeding or dead. Curing when I'm down to around 1/2 my max HP. Making sure your weapon has good procs and your armor is consistent (ie all heavy or all light) is helpful because good procs can mean 1-hitting or hit-and-forgetting most enemies and consistent equipment gets a bonus from proficiencies. Edit: To answer your actual questions (lol my bad), I can probably count the number of times I've had to use a mana potion on my two hands. I find that with consistent, high-mitigation heavy armour set and heavy armour proficiency trained to be as high as you can get it (which just takes time, really), I usually quit Grindfest on normal difficulty at around round 35-50 once I ran out of MP to cast more Shield and/or Cure. Not a single potion used. I'd advise checking your items after every round at least because sometimes monsters will drop a really useful item (Mana gems!). A mana gem can mean the difference between quitting at round 35 of GF and quitting at around 40 or 45 of GF. Your drain on mana is from keeping your abilities up, some that you most likely don't need or shouldn't need. Try going into Grindfest using only Shield and Cure, and you should find yourself using fewer potions. I have no opinion on Haste or Shadow Veil as I've never used them outside of scroll form, but Slow and Sleep are skills I don't find useful. @hand The higher level you are, the easier it is. I planned on waiting until I got spirit shield (I think that was 190?) but I got impatient and opted with spark of life instead. Since I had a good ET staff + spark of life I had no problems and didn't require any items. It just took a while. Kept my gods weakened/blinded/poisoned and myself SV-ed with decent evade from equips so it was pretty hard for them to touch me
e: if you're melee they shoudl be pretty easy as well. you can go the weaken+blind+poison route or the silence+poison route. both work. mace/DW them to hell and use appropriate infusions/weapons and they'll be down in a flash (assuming normal difficulty)
@darkstrider what spells you use depend on your gear. if you're using gear with high evasion, I'd recommend shadow veil. if the gear has high damage mitigation i'd recommend shield. if you have high interference, i wouldn't recommend shadow veil.
Using godly manas are ok. But you need to make sure it's *worth it*. If you're spending a godly mana every round. Then it's probably not worth it. Just ration yourself. A lot of the power levelers spend godly mana like water because it'll boost their leveling speed many times compared to if they were just using lesser potions
And yes, tanks are *king*. I would have a measly ~3k hp if it weren't for all my hp tanks. That would make me 1 hit ko-able from basically *any* monster's special attack on normal. thanks to hp tanks I have 6k+

HB: I definitely agree not using sleep and slow for normal battles. (Though they work wonders on the ring of blood characters). I haven't played much on normal so the experience gain might be much higher if I can reach 35-50. I might as well just use only those two spells for now. DC: I think I will try to get gear that works better with damage mitigation. I think my interference is quite high. Thank you all again, I gave you guys some K+ earlier.
PS Dcherry, your galleries are amazing. I think, your first big gallery was the first that inspired me to play the HV in the first place, so that I would have enough credits to download the whole thing.

Keep tokens to fight FSM; using it to fight something else you had already killed is a waste of token IMO.
If you know what you're doing, then yes, you can fight Gods at lv 100. You'll need to use scrolls to keep yourself alive from getting 1-shot and infusion to increase your damage. Other than that, they're pretty easy, and the credit reward you get is worth the cost your consumable needed to fight them.
@ darkstridergerms
Unless you're a masochist, don't bother with Niten and get yourself a mace or just use your katana alone. Reset your ability tree and for now at least, don't bother getting Slow. And you won't going to need Sleep, ever...
