Yes, I do understand that people don't really want to bother with high difficulty if it take too long since everyone want to be fast; I'm one of them myself. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ... I don't like it to be too fast, though. I have been playing with a gameplan that deliberately making myself get hit a lot for a long time now in order to gain more speed; i.e. high burden from using Niten, did not use Haste, low AGI & Action speed, etc, and I didn't have high END, either... I get kicked in the ass hard by mobs back then and I could play just fine, with full concentration and lots of pots, that is... So I kinda get use to it and didn't find the current damage to be that bad, and I believe I could play just fine now even if I going back and use estoc, though I might need to go back to Nintendo and drink more pots. PS. What mace do you use btw? This post has been edited by buktore: Sep 12 2011, 21:26

Let's see I have a few and I keep forgetting which one's best. I think this one is the one I usually use. This one is nice too.

I dunno, the second have halve the burden (12 less) and interference (3 less) but lacks like 50 attack bonus plus has 2 less strength bonus. the 1% proc difference is unimportant. Today at between 1 & 2pm I played a little HV and 3 hrs. later, I look at my quickbar and notice it was reset which is strange since it was still set 3 hours ago. I wonder if the system was making another change.
I take it back it seems changing weapons set reset it which is new since I never change my equipment set since the new patch started.

Each weapon set has their own quickbar now.

I notice it in the quickbar options where the equipment sets shows the set I have equiped to.
I wanna know if anyone has 2 quickbars in battle and if so do you have to get it when you reach a certain rank such as Godslayer?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I'm honestly fine with my current mace. Just had a bad day with arena runs when I actually got ejected by 5 straight rounds of giants. I'm figuring shadowdancer gear is going to be harder to find than an eth mace though...

QUOTE(dcherry @ Sep 12 2011, 11:43) unfortunately the new patch has made incapacitation vital to fighting against monsters. stun/sleep/blind etc. i've had to swap elements from elec/fire -> wind/elec just to avoid getting killed from a wave of attacks (despite spirit shield). wind = chance to miss
I don't want to swap from fire either, but I was really considering doing this as well.

I've been using Electric/Fire (and Cold) since forever, but I'm going to have to give this a try. Since 0.6.1 Spark of Life has been triggering so much that I have had to start carrying around an emergency Godly Spirit Potion. I wonder how viable Cold/Wind would be; slower movement and a greater chance to miss. This post has been edited by n125: Sep 13 2011, 02:44

So. I just reset my abilities cause I figured exp bonus wasn't doing that much for me, and so now I need some help re allocating my AP. My current combat style is 2H Mace. But I might switch to DW or 1h with Shield depending on what is the most efficient. So assuming I'm sticking strictly to Melee, and I don't really have any plans to go back to magic, what abilities should I be getting? Also, what fighting style would be best? I rather enjoy the splash from 2H, but I've heard 1H with Shield can be pretty good as well. Is Niten Ichiryu any good as well? Why does it suddenly feel like I'm wearing paper armor and swinging like a drunk? I'm not sure if it's just horribly bad luck today, but I'm starting to get killed in ridiculous situations (situations where I'm missing 5+ swings at a magic mob because I don't want it to one shot me while everything else is killing me, or situations where physical mobs are suddenly normally hitting through my Shield + 40% phys mit and 60 phys absorb for 200-300 damage, and 1500-1800 skill hits, etc.)
Something just doesn't feel right, I've not changed a single thing since yesterday, and suddenly it feels like everything's just destroying me at a whim and dodging every single attack I make.

Regen has a slightly better heal per mana ratio than Cure, so I'd personally get that. As for debuffs, there are a ton of differing opinions on how they should be done. Just remember that some debuffs override others, like how Blind overrides Bewilder (or something like that). Pick whatever works with your playstyle, whether you like taking risks with evasion or having a solid 50% damage reduction. Poison is a must for Bosses, since it reduces their evade as well as their MP / SP regen. I'd also get Haste, since technically, it reduces damage done to you by about 25% in the long run. QUOTE Is Niten Ichiryu any good as well? Well it runs off of Dual Wield and 2H proficiencies, and you don't gain any proficiencies while using it.

K, so I'm getting poison. And I'm pretty flexible on my playstyle that's why I was asking what debuffs would be good. If It's any I'm currently sticking with full shade gear for maximum attack damage and accuracy. I might eventually switch over to kevlar, but I'm 100% sure I'm sticking to Light Armor. Well, from the Wiki:
* A monster cannot be simultaneously affected by more than one of: Slow, Sleep, and Confuse. Successfully casting any one of these on a target will dispel any of the others on that target. * Because of this rule for Silence, Blind, Bewilder, and Weaken, the only useful combinations are: Weaken + Blind, Weaken + Bewilder, or Silence alone.

Alright, so I got those, and I'll be getting Silence as soon as I hit 110. I also got haste. Are shadow veil and absorb worth getting?

I don't know how much about Absorb, but I don't think it's too functional outside of boss battle.
Shadow Veil is good, I think.

So I've gotten all of my skills, and assuming I'm saving 5 points for Silence at 110, I have 31 Skill points to throw about wherever. So Should I finish maxing out Health Tank? Or Should I throw some points into Spirit Tank for bossing?
