QUOTE(buktore @ Sep 12 2011, 19:47) So... mkonji sold this and opt to stick with non-eth instead; from his own words "I'd rather keep my 29% non-Ethereal" ... Wait... What?! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) For the record I didn't actually sell it, I'm just letting him test it out. But I did normal EoD just fine (a little slow) with my non-ethereal. The speed wasn't THAT that bad, but I was expecting a bit quicker on Normal since on Heroic Crusade/To Kill A God the girls die mighty quick. But I guess 1 girl is a little different than 50 and it starts to drag. In most of my battles (Heroic Arenas bellow T&T and item worlds) the Ethereal was definitely weaker because I don't have a very high-crit build (I prioritize Agility) and only reliably stunning 3-5 per hit is a big difference from reliably stunning 5-7 (on top of the 29% stun proc, my non-eth also has a good deal better crit bonus). But when I did Nintendo T&T I noticed a non-marginal difference (about half the potions used). I'll probably keep it around as a sidegrade for doing EoD and T&T.

I'm having quite the opposite effect; there are so many giants to deal with that I'm starting to think I should shell out a ton of creds just to get an ethereal mace for them. As it is right now on Heroic, it takes on average, 10-12 hits to kill them (4-5 with stun proc). And when you have ENTIRE ROUNDS full of giants, it gets pretty hairy. So with your high agility and a 3 turn duration stun, you can EASILY get 4-5 hits on them from a single stun proc. And with Hearseaker, and 29% stun chance, and nearly 80% chance Domino strike, three well-placed attacks will usually stun every one of them.

WTB> Good Eth Mace (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) Try a good Rapier or an Estoc (if you're 2-hander). Giants resistance to piercing damage was nerfed since 0.6.1, so it's a good way to deal with them.

Currently level 144 with a 58% Domino Strike chance :< and no Heartseeker. I do have this though. My agi atm is 175, with a 158.4 Action speed. I've been meaning to switch from Shield to Haste, but I need to start updating my Shade gear again. I was considering trying Estoc, but stun is actually keeping me alive longer, because instead of 5+ giants macking on me, I'd have 2 or 3.

unfortunately the new patch has made incapacitation vital to fighting against monsters. stun/sleep/blind etc. i've had to swap elements from elec/fire -> wind/elec just to avoid getting killed from a wave of attacks (despite spirit shield). wind = chance to miss

Oh... That make sense now. Thanks! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I guess it's a difference in preference. I don't really care about the fact that stunned mobs = you don't take damage. I only care about speed; the only reason I use mace right now is because it does the most damage (plus it's something I already own, so no hassle trying to get it). If this got changed in the future, most likely, I'll switch. .... I have a feeling that the high damage done by mobs are meant to be mitigate by equipment upgrade (forge). And since that isn't done yet, you end up with mobs that could curb-stomp people to death, even in normal diff. Things will probably get better. Probably... If this got changed in the future, most likely, I'll switch. Don't get me wrong, I care about speed too. It's just that I usually don't bother with high-difficulty challenges (they rarely give good drops, anyway; pretty much everything good I own I got from lvl 50 boss trophies). And at the lower difficulty, more stun = more two-shots.

Yes, I do understand that people don't really want to bother with high difficulty if it take too long since everyone want to be fast; I'm one of them myself. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ... I don't like it to be too fast, though. I have been playing with a gameplan that deliberately making myself get hit a lot for a long time now in order to gain more speed; i.e. high burden from using Niten, did not use Haste, low AGI & Action speed, etc, and I didn't have high END, either... I get kicked in the ass hard by mobs back then and I could play just fine, with full concentration and lots of pots, that is... So I kinda get use to it and didn't find the current damage to be that bad, and I believe I could play just fine now even if I going back and use estoc, though I might need to go back to Nintendo and drink more pots. PS. What mace do you use btw? This post has been edited by buktore: Sep 12 2011, 21:26

Let's see I have a few and I keep forgetting which one's best. I think this one is the one I usually use. This one is nice too.

I dunno, the second have halve the burden (12 less) and interference (3 less) but lacks like 50 attack bonus plus has 2 less strength bonus. the 1% proc difference is unimportant. Today at between 1 & 2pm I played a little HV and 3 hrs. later, I look at my quickbar and notice it was reset which is strange since it was still set 3 hours ago. I wonder if the system was making another change.
I take it back it seems changing weapons set reset it which is new since I never change my equipment set since the new patch started.

Each weapon set has their own quickbar now.

I notice it in the quickbar options where the equipment sets shows the set I have equiped to.
I wanna know if anyone has 2 quickbars in battle and if so do you have to get it when you reach a certain rank such as Godslayer?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I'm honestly fine with my current mace. Just had a bad day with arena runs when I actually got ejected by 5 straight rounds of giants. I'm figuring shadowdancer gear is going to be harder to find than an eth mace though...
