On PFUDOR? 2 hours sounds average to low for level 358 with medium-quality Power gears. With 0.81 Power Slaughter forged to 5 only and a meh unforged weapon, DwD usually took me ~42 minutes at level 395. With better 0.82+ gear, better weapon, and better forging, significantly quicker speeds would be possible.

Pure mage? If you have 20m credits, you can. If you have 8m-20m, you probably can but it'll be hard. If you have <8m it'll be very hard. You'll need good staff, a few perks, forging to 5, and IW to play comfortably on higher difficulties.

Even though I play as dark mage, I always cast Imperil.

Playing without Imperil slows round clearance too much. In fact, even with Imperil and a few forged peerless pieces, I'm still slower than lower-level elemental mages.

My results are pretty consistent, about 10% more turns than imp style with same level of gear. But I have t/s advantage.

With mage its ~1 hour, but i should notice its not equal to one hour of playing 1h. For melee its simple mouse up-down and we can almost completely ignore and play in background. Mage takes much more attention. Its 2 different actions (imperil, attacks) with higher amount of cures and consumption. In other words takes much more attention.

Its Nekokon`s idea and not very popular style, but i advertise it everywhere, because its actually not so bad. It has few restrictions. Most vital is imperil and difficulty, because without that its very slow. I did hellfest and it was ~same clearspeed as ordinary 1h. So it has no sense to play harder style with same clearspeed. But on high diff with imperil it shines. I cleared whole pffest with only 16k turns and my set wasnt heavy forged and so on. Its ~1,5 hours. Im not sure about peak result, but maybe 1 hour is possibly, because my phase armor was almost random with ~5 levels forge and edb in weapon wasnt forged at all, also i have only 10% damage perk. Actually even T3 still has 5cd for me.

Sure after that i admit its good style. I cant say style which can clear pffest in around 1hour is bad. And it has very low entry threshold. Almost any 310 level with good shield can equip few cheap legendary phases (maybe even 50-100k each) and clear pffest in something close to ~2 hours.

But this style also isnt very much developed. It has few options in weapons. I think waki should be best, because it gives very good stats, but still we have nimble/battlecaster suffixes. We also can choose between buckler-force shield and it affects mp price. So its wide range from waki+buckler of battlecaster to mid steps like buckler of barrier which gives very nice block in this patch and up to max defense with nimble and force shield. Actually defense looks even stronger than 1h, because i used only ~300-400 cures for full pffest, but im not sure how it goes when we reduce defense. At late rounds i used ~6 sp elixirs, because even ordinary hit had high sp damage and any mp attack was capped ~200 points. I dont have any agi/evade forge and so on, so its probably very personally and depends on level/gear.

It also has few options in phase/cotton. 5 phases is very available, because its quite cheap. At my level its ~300 edb without forge, so we can say its 4x damage. But also without any prof monsters have high mitg and if its full 75 then 75-40 (imperil) = 35 and our damage becomes 4*(1-0,35)= 2,6x. With 2 cottons we can get ~200 edb without forge and ~0,6-0,75 prof factor which ll reduce mitg almost completely and gives us counter-resist bonus. So its significant better (probably ~15% less turns), but its already not so cheap, because forge and maybe even prof perk.

It also has few options with overcharge. I think there are few good main ways for that:
1. OFC without spirit stance. Very easy to use and powerful hit
2. OFC with spirit stance. Takes slightly more turns and attention, but almost oneshot round.
And yea, it depends on adb as i remember, so we must use 1h passive bonus ability and so on for that.

Buckler is strange, non-Barrier means low block which means less OC which means less OFC. But it's L-grade, so if it works for you, I guess it's OK.

Whether to switch to mage is completely up to you. Depends on how much funds you have, and how much you'd prefer the mage playstyle (if at all).

The latter is true, the former is not.

Duration doesn't really matter. Even on SGs, you'll be killing them before Magnet/Imperil wears off. Only exception is FSM, but that's a one-time thing that doesn't matter.

What makes proficiency important is resist rates, which have a huge impact on clear speed, as well as mitigation reduction for your offensive magic prof.

No, it doesn't really work that well (I was using a buckler of the nimble before switching to a >36 base block buckler of the barrier and the difference was night and day).
At his level he should really find a good buckler of the barrier/force shield.

But, anyway, with his gear he should be able to finish DwD in no more than 40-50 minutes.
The problem is probably in the t/s, either due to slow internet or slow browser config.

I mean how is no imp significantly slower? Do you use a full prof setup for it?

My results compare to others ele and holy/dark with imp are usually 10% more turns. Also no imp gives you higher t/s so the clear speed will be similar.

I've been hitting a wall on what kind of Arena runs I can finish. I can finish all Arenas on Hell, but I have a really hard time on Nintendo. And it's been like that for the last ~100 Levels.
1. So I'm not sure what attribute to Level or what stats I need to look out for on new equipment. Based on my current equipment i'd say im more offensive, but maybe i should go more defensive? I just dont know. really any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, i've been rolling a few hundred trophies on weapons and would like you guys to have a look, which is actually worth considering (not all of them. the top 4 are postet). the exquisite ethereal axe seems pretty good, though i dont know if the trade of with the magnificent axe is actually worth it.
The weapons im using right now are maxed out on potency tier, but have only been upgraded to the point you would need Bindings.
