?s=Battle&ss=gr can't be loaded from hdd, because it's html code - it contains all data changing between rounds(yours and monsters hp, mp, sp, log, cd and durations of spells)

opp sorry. I mean the assets, like javascript, css, image etc etc.

They only need to be downloaded once (per HV session or longer). So the most it'll probably save you is 1-2 seconds or something at the very beginning of the battle. Not much, so setting something up to always use cache only for resources won't help during ordinary play. The bottleneck for you is downloading the actual page HTML and nothing else (or so it appears).

I tried the Reloader (Vanilla 1.1.1) after reading the praise here, but seems like HV Counter Plus 3.6 doesn't work with it. Is there an easy way to make it work (I'm not a programmer)? Hard to tell if the Reloader is even working, the difference is very small compared to my old setup (before: HVSTAT Slim Mod 1.8, HV adjustkey 0.2 and HV counter 3.6, now: Reloader 1.1.1 and HV STAT Slim Mod #Reloader 0.2.13). I can't see the t/s difference without HV Counter.

Oh, forgot to mention 1.3.2b doesn't seem to work at all (the options that make visible changes don't do anything). Also, I'm using Pale Moon 26.1.1 with Greasemonkey.

I'm also playing by using keyboard, so Mousemelee stuff on 1.3.2b isn't needed for me.

Which browser you use? If you are using Chrome - you need to install Tampermonkey, if your choice is Firefox, you need to install GreeseMonkey - they are framework to load scripts.

Next, install Reloader 1.3.1 (or upper version) - you can find links in Compendium (check my sig for link).
In Reloader 1.3.1 (or upper version) we have in-builded HV Counter Plus 3.6 in it. =)

If you do it right - you will find difference very quickly ^^

I have got NICE LOOT here ^^

[nevermind]

Now tell me, goddamnit, WHY it is NOT heavy armor!? =(
How much it costs on WTS/WTB section, anyone?

I'm using Pale Moon with Greasemonkey, as I said above. Maybe I'll try the 1.3.1 version too later, but at least the 1.3.2b didn't seem to work. The HV Counter Plus 3.6 did work as a standalone with 1.3.2b though (unlike with Vanilla 1.1.1), but the one in the 1.3.2b Reloader didn't work.

Nice helmet you got there, I have one too: Legendary Agile Shade Helmet of the Arcanist, I think I paid 300k for it in an auction. Mine has slightly better rolls I think, but there are some players buying Arcanist gear.

Edit: nice work with the Scripts Compendium by the way, that must have been a ton of work.

Oww... Pale moon is somekind of firefox mod if google tell me right, isn't?

In my Iron browser latest reloader 1.3.2b works great with tampermonkey...
Yes, try down-graded versions of reloader - maybe some will work for you? This is hard to say universal solution for anyone, because of different browsers, OS and builds - so many scripts, so many possibilities. Sometimes only method of tries & errors may work properly =(

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Mar 6 2016, 07:55) *

It significantly decreases the processing load on less-than-great computers. HV pages are big. Instead of the browser re-loading an entirely new page every fraction of a second, the javascript downloads the next turn, parses the (few) replacements that need to be made in the page, and makes those changes (very little processing power needed).

QUOTE(FabulousCupcake @ Mar 6 2016, 08:02) *

Replace existing content with the new one as necessary, instead of reloading the whole page.

QUOTE(simrock87 @ Mar 6 2016, 08:45) *

1. Reloader pretty much cuts out most of the paint-process where the site is rendered. The first run (read first turn each round) takes like 50ms and after that Reloader only replaces the changed elements, which only takes about 2-5ms per turn (for me at least) compared to 50ms for every turn (that's actually the flicker-effect you see in chrome browsers)
2. Without reloader scripts have a huge overhad, where they do their whole processing every turn. Considering that most scripts have a huge setup part and little actual action to do during a turn this takes quite some time. On top of that the browser will garbage-collect all the variables and so on every 5-10 turns, which also takes about 10ms a piece. With scripts properly coded for Reloader you only have to do the setup once per round and can then live off that one setup, which cuts time spent on scripting immensely (30ms setup + 3ms per turn), also the browser effectively only garbage-collects once after each round as not that much stuff is created in mem that needs to be cleaned up.

Those are the two main points i could observe so far (also my laptop does not heat up as much as compared to regular play (70deg C vs 50deg C), that's probably from the reduced need to rerender the whole page though)

Thanks, hmm. I guess that the "necessary" parts refers to the left pane (character stats), top pane (current status effects), right pane (monsters).

And we only get to ignore the center/bottom pane (battle log).
- is there really anything else that we can skip?
- Does the battle log really take so much time to repaint? I'm surprised by that

Uhh, I don't see any errors in console. I think it wasn't loading at all or something. Only thing console was showing was one POST after each action, on the other hand with Vanilla 1.1.1 it would show multiple POST messages that stacked after each action and only cleared the log after each round.

I think I need better instructions to help with debugging (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Yes, it is a Firefox fork, they switched from Gecko to Goanna recently though.

My problem isn't really with the Reloader working (as the Vanilla 1.1.1 is supposedly working), I would just like to have HV Counter Plus 3.6 working with the Vanilla 1.1.1.

That is why I mentioned it, I thought it might be affecting scripts in some cases. It is a Gecko fork though.

is there a script that allows you to track *exactly* what you drop during one arena? not interested in gems, potions, scrolls and similars, but more on equips, artifacts and such.
