I know the magnificent, legendary, and peerless weapons/armor is very hard to find or get from monsters. But what level of difficulty and which place will I have a better chance at getting these weapons/armor?

Nah, arch gives the best profit. Last levels indeed not so easy to payback, because even for fast mage its around 900-1000 hours. But its 8m for 1 level. All others is much easier.

At the highest difficulty (PFUDOR), and as the clear bonus for the longest/most difficult arena and ring of blood rounds (DwD, FSM / TT&T) QUOTE(hentailover6983 @ Feb 4 2016, 19:14) "arch"? What's that?

QUOTE(safmy @ Feb 5 2016, 05:19) EDB on doesn't affect the elemental strike dmg. So, don't forge EDB on a melee weapon unless you're planning to cast spells of that element (and in which case, you might want to consider battlecaster or something) QUOTE(pwet @ Feb 5 2016, 13:19) Is there any point to the draughts? If you resumed playing after a long hiatus, did you check whether the Abilities have been slotted?

It is your best choice to recover mp and sp in battle. If you are mage you will spam some mp potions too.

So this staff just dropped for me. It isn't focused on any one Willow element, but is this at least decent enough for babby's first staff?

Quality isn't important if nothing matches. Even if the only one you have is Exquisite, it'll likely be much better if it has matching qualities.

I'm a duel-wielder and I use light armor as my focus, specifically shade. Should I sell my cloth and heavy armor?

imo a backup 1H Heavy set could be worth the effort...

Unless it's high quality, it's not worth taking up a space in your inventory. Sell/bazaar/salvage everything you aren't using and don't plan to use soon. That said, you might try 1h/power, by your level, it's a lot more effective than any other style.

I guessed as much but couldn't resist bringing it to 10. You're right on all counts, but I might just forget the cheaper materials bar destruction. Waiting for the mega expensive purchase on a fully forged sexy af legendary slaughter 1h. In time. Is battlecaster even viable? I've not seen many people play that. The idea of it is interesting though.

elemental bindings are really cheap, even if you don't go the battlecaster route it may have a sense to forge EDB if you want to raise your forge level (not so useful anyways) or if you only miss a handful of PXP and too lazy to do a whole run, but in this case i'd stop when catalysts become more expensive than bindings. apart for this, it's a waste of resources QUOTE(safmy @ Feb 5 2016, 13:50) Is battlecaster even viable? yep. it has been reported that elemental weapon (possibly with low ITR and high Parry, while we're at it - possibly Waki of Nimble or Battlecaster) + shield (Buckler of Barrier? or even Force Shield, but at this point Waki of Battlecaster is highly suggested) + Phase armors is quite viable. not as quick as mage or as tanky as 1H, sort of a middle way. but at least the weapon will be quite cheap (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
