I use mana draughts when i have them available. Although the mana regen doesn't seem to always keep up with the rate i need to use cures to stay alive.

Don't feel bad if you have to reduce the difficulty to keep attacking at a reasonable rate, that's fine.

Repair or trash broken equipment (< 50% condition, as we can see exists from the red Damage text). Probably just trash them and buy new unassigned Averages from the bazaar.

Use health draughts as well as mana draughts.

Also, i think ur situation will improve as u lv up, after u unlock these 3 buffs; Regen (regain hp over time) at lv50, Haste (+Action Speed) at lv60 and Shadow Veil (+Evade) at lv90.

Heh, oh yeah I've been through that before. Never managed to solve it.

Fire is relatively bad among Imperil styles. Monsters are resistant to it, and its proc doesn't reduce HP damage taken by much.

Fire has the best defensive proc. Its sounds same 10% reduction/10% miss/10% speed, but in reality its 2 completely different situations, because fire works always when we get hit and 2 others with chance in any situation. Random chance always leads to waste in both cases when we at low hp (higher chance to use cure, because that doesnt proc) and at high hp (we get overhealing from regen/draught/worked proc). Ive did big testing for that with 2 objectives (sp damage and amount of cures), but dont remember well result. Something like 1,5x difference in favor of fire.

However, overall effect of proc isnt so big. Its quite low difference and works only in small range of turns (max few turns until monster is dead?).
I just said, because this static/chance situation is quite popular. It can be block/pmi for example. In fest with old pots i got much better result after pmi forge than block.

yep. at low levels is quite important to replace your gears pretty often, since you cannot afford Soulfuse and Repair fees yet. even to salvage Averages to repair Superiors isn't so worth, credits-wise. but he should definitely be able to lower his damage amount by being killed less

not so much. only a bit long and tedious. if it's for the first clear bonus only, it's fine to do it at Normal.
at higher difficulties remember to go with your tankiest set, always enable all buffs and maybe cast Silence on the most powerful mobs every now and then - especially FSM
but it's fine as long as you kill the tree first and keep alive the Goddesses as much as possible - they are pretty weak anyways, and when they die they leave their effects on all the other mobs. as for now i never had to deal with an ultra-buffed FSM but i cannot feel it as if i lost something (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

If only 1 yes. Wind actually has the best combo ice+wind proc and its so much easier than elec mage in deep gf. At least thats what I heard from a wind mage. Ice mage is the same or even better because fire proc is more stable, but ice has no willow staff (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

just wondering, how would be Penetrator 5 on an already good Willow/Oak staff - especially if compared with other potencies? barely noticeable or a good improvement?

I think its more about preferences. Elec gives slightly higher clearspeed, wind gives a bit higher sustain (with lower cures bonus). If player has credits id advise always play elec/wind. With low budget fire, because ppl underestimate this style and gear is quite often cheap with +- same result.

Its same. If monsters has resist then counter-resist is good. Actually i have quite good excel table for that.

1300pl mech without training at my level on pf. Good forged set. 3930 mdb, 319 edb, 10% damage perk.
48% counter-resist - 1,133 turns to kill
68% counter-resist - 1,082
48% counter-resist with 4100 mdb - 1,081

1600pl giant with max training. 2,767/2,557/2,605. With lower magic score 3,885/3,597/3,702.

So we can see iw is good when we cant oneshot monster and counter-resist is slightly better when monster has good resist (in this case it was 21,4%).
