(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) Anyway, jokes apart, I activated Elemental Prof perk yesterday, and today in Arena I got a 3.985% faster clear speed. Pretty solid I'd say.

Is there a faster way to train staff proficiency? I'm just doing normal arenas and smacking monsters.

Monsters are a lot tankier, so less moving of the mouse, and incoming damage still isn't something to worry about on Crude; less attention needed.

Only side effects like increase t/s. In best situation its 4/sec on low diff without cures/rebuffs. And also without profit.

Just to be perfectly sure before spending 1.5M credits... : The Vigorous Vitality Hath perk increase your BASE health, so it also increase the regeneration of the Regen spell, right? (with 5000 base health and 100%HP boost = 10000 total HP, you go up to 5500 base health and 11000 total HP?)

provided you have enough tokens, why not Normal TT&T with a supersafe Shade/Power build and without killing the tree? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I'll try that after this current arena. QUOTE(Scremaz @ Dec 10 2015, 00:18) provided you have enough tokens, why not Normal TT&T with a supersafe Shade/Power build and without killing the tree? That's what I was assuming would happen. Just starting to train proficiencies since I can't be bothered leveling.

To the middleTo the middleTo the middleTo the middleTo the middledisappointment
i've been training Elemental proff for some Hours, waste some potions and tons of Draughts,i've been thinking, that when i'll finally reach 50 elemental proff and learn 2nd tier skill,i'll finally punish this monsters with powerfull my spells. . . . .
But what i've seen on normal diff?
1)1739 damage with 2nd tier spell with 50%(48.7)Spell Damage Bonus. . . 2)more than 50% monsters resists 3)tons of pots flowing away cuz of 2nd tier skills. 4)My ego went down to the core of the earth

staff damage is weak, my level a crude katalox need around 200+ attack to kill 5-6 monsters on normal grindfest. I equip crude katalox and average/sup clothes of protection, activate mousemelee and simply hovering around 4-6 times of 25-50 round normal grindfest and currently around 114 staff and 195 cloth. and that's from <10 proficiency on both - without any boost proficiency growth boost. (I forgot, the exact times I doing this over again, I mean it's a very very boring process - thankfully I have more movies to watch now) You don't have to worry about dying, don't even have to worry too much about curing - it's normal difficulty afterall-, about stamina, running at 1.75t/s there's still net in stamina regen after fleeing, and you don't have to worry about taking too long that makes the monsters getting too strong (past 1000 action). it's just hover all the way until you're dead bored or wants to do random encounter (or the monsters getting too tough due to gf round attack bonus). actually, die a few times while holding your staff, drop the damage to 0, and enjoy how tough the monsters are... QUOTE(doom9ra @ Dec 9 2015, 22:06) -snip- 2)more than 50% monsters resists 3)tons of pots flowing away cuz of 2nd tier skills. 4)My ego went down to the core of the earth
there's a reason why maging is for high level player (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I tried maging when around 275-300 and learnt it the hard way (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by Fudo Masamune: Dec 9 2015, 17:12

If you are using the clothes set you posted last page, then that's probably the problem O xO QUOTE(doom9ra @ Dec 8 2015, 19:08) First you need to focus on 1 element only. Both clothes and staff. Then you need to get phase which has high elemental damage base. With staff, 4 phases and 1 prof cotton you should be aiming for +200% elemental bonus (which would triple your spell damage). Then you should make use of imperil which would almost double your damage (again). You can max faster imperil at 310 so you can debuff them fast enough. You can only go non-imperil way if your gear is strong enough and you almost capped prof factor (effective prof doubled your level), and it's still has weaker damage than imperil mage, just less work to do. Then you need to train your proficiency high enough (based on your element of choice) so that the extra prof from gear can increase your counter resist and elemental mitigation reduction. You should always try to cap it. Imagine if melee has a constant linear growth, mage would have a concave one, which starts really low and grows slowly, but scale exponentially once you get to higher level. So overall it's best to start maging when you got to higher level and can get a decent mage set, otherwise it's best to stick with melee O 3O

Has there been a significant change to random encounters or something?
I don't seem to get the random encounters consistently anymore, I did one today and then did arena for about 65 minutes. Went to e-hentai, no random encounter. Waited for 30 minutes afterwards and nothing popped up.

It's a lot easier to do them separately. (especially since the stuff you're wearing is either trash or useless) Actually, don't train prof at all until you're sure you're going to switch to full mage within a level or two. (Actually, don't even switch to mage at all until at least 310)
