QUOTE(tayulog @ Dec 7 2015, 21:31) Do you have more clearing speed when leveling up (just by leveling up)? Or it only depends of your equipement and forging? For melee, definitely, from level 0-500. For mage, it's true for at least 0-400. During 400-500, some have said that monsters HP/mmit become slightly more tankier than our MDB/EDB etc damage scales up. Maybe that's true, maybe not, but now that equipment is level-bound it has become impossible to test. Either way, another factor is that innate defense increases from leveling up, which increases mage's clearing speed due to fewer cures (but is unimportant for melee which almost never has to cure past 400 anyway). I'd say that net clear speed always increases, or at least, doesn't decrease.

That was me. Without imperil monsters indeed becomes slightly tankier, but with imperil seems its still a bit in players favor. So overall it all depends on equip/forge.
Im not sure about melee, because ive never checked that and even hp 42080/26270=1,6x while 4700 at 250lvl is equal to 7250 adb at 400 which is only 1,54x. With crit it should be ok, but second problem is pmi (it also increases). In reality its more complicated because melee deals with pa stacks, counter-attacks and other stuff. But overall it should be ok, because abilities also gives boost. Something like heartseeker with 8-->15% crit damage increase.
As sup already said main changes with levels is defense. Its rly big difference and easy/save play without cures is much better. Without ia you also get longer buffs. Its very good, because you can play much faster without stops for that. Thats why i think leveling is very important and almost vital for something like mage which suffers from weak defense.

[attachembed=75652] Curious about forum mechanics, for the status to be set to 'off', do i have to close the all the forum pages on my browsers or log out? Also, this 'on off' status in the forum applies to both HV and the forum right?

I don't believe the browser sends a message to the server when a page is closed, so you will likely be marked offline only if you log out, or if you are inactive for (30?) minutes. HV is completely separate from the forums (just like the galleries). This post has been edited by Superlatanium: Dec 8 2015, 10:31

i c, but it seems when u log in HV, it also logs in to the forums for u. But if u log out from the forums, HV remains unaffected. So i thought the authentication was somewhat linked.

So i thought the authentication was somewhat linked. The HV log-in code is CODE <form action="https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?act=Login&CODE=01" method="post" name="ipb_login_form" style="margin-bottom:0"> <input type="hidden" name="CookieDate" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="b" value="d" /> <input type="hidden" name="bt" value="6" /> <table style="margin:auto"> <tr><td style="text-align:left">User:</td><td style="text-align:left"><input type="text" name="UserName" size="12" maxlength="255" value="" style="font-size:8pt; color:#5C0D11; background-color:#EDEBDF; width:80px" /></td></tr> <tr><td style="text-align:left">Pass:</td><td style="text-align:left"><input type="password" name="PassWord" size="12" maxlength="255" value="" style="font-size:8pt; color:#5C0D11; background-color:#EDEBDF; width:80px" /></td></tr> <tr><td colspan="2" style="padding-top:5px; text-align:center; vertical-align:middle"><input class="stdbtn" style="width:60px" type="submit" name="ipb_login_submit" value="Login!" /> or <a href="http://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?act=Reg&CODE=00" target="_n">Register</a></td></tr> </table> </form> Then perhaps the PHP checks the headers to see if the POST was from forums.e-hentai.org or from *hentaiverse.org, and redirects the user accordingly. But HV login is only needed once, so you would only see HV and the forums interacting that one time, and never again (until you switch browsers or clear cookies).

If you're going for a non-imperil build for holy mage, would a hallowed katalox of heaven-sent or a hallowed oak of heimdall do better?

[shameless autoadvertise] the most important thing for you is to have a Charged Cotton Pants of proficiency. you're quite lucky, since there's such piece on W auction right this week, bounded really near to your level range (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) [/autoadvertise] as for staffs, i'd go for an Oak and its Counter-resist. but i may be wrong... Just out of curiosity... Considering how imperil is extra effective on holy damage... why would one want to go for a non imperil holy mage build? (Me no mage. Illuminate me).

i'm guessing its for convenience. I think having to imperil all mobs a huge pain in the ass, especially when they resist the spell.

I think holy imperil/non imperil is very similar, because its almost always 3+2. Main idea of katalox is destruction, because its quite good with forge. But its not so big difference as elemental mages have, because katalox have only a bit depr prof and slightly higher crit chance. And oak huge edb, native counter-resist (so even for imperil its much better then depr prof) and also sup prof (cures). So i think they both works fine.
Usually more important is stats of staff. Even with something like 60/30 forge few mdb/edb points gives very solid difference. 45/15 - 16300 47/15 - 16570 47/17 - 16920 50/17 - 17340 50/20 - 17880 Max difference 17880/16300 = 9,7% (almost 10% damage perk which cost 2000 hath). But even for last two its 3%+. Maybe its not so big, because its probably closer only to 2% clearspeed (10 hours -- > 9 hours and 48 min), but 500 magic score is big amount when you have 3+2. So its better to aim for cheap, but close to P ranges staffs.

Dont understand the table. So I assume katalox of destruction full forge will be better than oak? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Nov 30 2015, 15:20) Equipping: 0% attack speed bonus Haste on IA is OFF 3 1 You cast Protection. (Lasts 210 turns) 4 1 You gain the effect Defending. ... 214 7 The effect Protection has expired.
Equipping: 42.3% attack speed bonus Haste on IA is OFF 3 1 You cast Protection. (Lasts 210 turns) 4 1 You gain the effect Defending. ... 214 8 The effect Protection has expired.
Attack speed only affects physical attack speed - "Attack" action time, nothing else, and cast action time is only affected by Cast Speed (and base action time which is only affected by Haste/scroll).
QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Nov 30 2015, 16:27) "Attack speed" => attack speed multiplier (physical attacks), "cast speed" => cast speed multiplier (all spells), haste => base action speed (separate base multiplier, affects everything, including non-attacks and non-casts).

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Action_SpeedYour base action speed is determined by your AGI, Agile prefix equipment, Swift Strike potency, attack speed from some weapons like shortsword and waki, and whether you are under 40 burden or not. Then each action have an individual action speed (attacking is 1, using an item is 0, etc.) that can be boosted with Haste or Scroll of Swiftness. Casting speed (for spells) can be boosted by Spellweaver potency and Charged prefix. QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Nov 30 2015, 09:27) "Attack speed" => attack speed multiplier (physical attacks), "cast speed" => cast speed multiplier (all spells), haste => base action speed (separate base multiplier, affects everything, including non-attacks and non-casts).
Attack speed is for everyone, melee and mage. Casting speed is on top of that. This post has been edited by Dan31: Dec 8 2015, 18:10
