You should use waki for weapon, since it has lot's of defensive boost (speed/parry) which is the main use of 1h mage style O 3O

Your gears level are all really low so the elemental damage boost is lacking too O xO When I said this build doesn't require lot's of investment, I mean you don't have to pay dozens of milions for gears, but at least you should get a decent set around 1-2m to be able to play mage effectively O xO. If you're not looking for specific prefixes like me it's not too hard to get a set from the auctions or shop ` 3`And lighting is recommended since you need extra counter resist/counter evade, and it's effective against high hp monsters (~ O vO)~

Always keep haste on, since the defend boost helps a tons. You're mage, you're supposed to kill them all before they start hitting back (/ ` A')/

Magic proficiency training can take a while... From when I started at 0 prof around level 370 I think it took me maybe 10 days to get up to ~340 prof, and that was when I was also occasionally spellspamming in Crude IW for proficiency only. Or has the gain rate been changed?

Also, element is extremely important, it's only really interchangable if you don't have any gear yet (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) If you want to change, then sure, if I were you I'd PM the last bidder.

I meant to grind magic proficiency in IW specifically O 3O It took me 2 nights to get from 0 to 250ish, after that I can go straight for arenas and let it grow slowly O 3O

You're right.

The benefit of waki is lower burden, lower interference, and higher parry.

I think the attack speed in the character page (and from haste/agi/weapon/...) actually means action speed, which should apply to all action including attacking/casting/defending/focusing/... ;and cast speed is another multiplier which applies only to spells on top of the current action speed (since each spell has its own cast speed as stated by the wiki O xO)

I'm not sure if that actually how it works or not, just based on my observation (when I use defend/focus sometime it's done it less than 1 turn, which shouldn't happen without haste because all the default actions have the same speed of 1).

"Attack speed" => attack speed multiplier (physical attacks), "cast speed" => cast speed multiplier (all spells), haste => base action speed (separate base multiplier, affects everything, including non-attacks and non-casts).

Somehow "Shomin Sample" becomes quite funny. First episode was bad.. i dont like illogical story, but i decided to give it a try and second was already better. Its not something epic, but quite decent for mainstream genre.

they are added into separate rolls. also, you cannot directly see Haste's effect (just like Protection, Shadow Veil, Heartseeker...) because:
1. they are spells which are valid only while on-combat
2. they aren't even on 100% of time
