well, shield is quite important in a 1H build, surely more than rapier & forging it is way more expensive, regardless of the kind. personally i think you'd better spend a bit more when you buy it rather than be forced to forge it to the limit

it's exactly the lack of a PAB that made it possible for you to find them on bazaar (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

surely you would eventually feel the lack of a PAB on each of them, but for a low-budget build (how much for the lot? 200k or so?) surely it's a nice achievement

magnificent power armor of warding level 373 in the bazaar if someone needs it.

But mostly there are many good power of protection in auc for quite cheap price (250k-500k). Thats much better for soulfusing.

I have them all right. I have 1M credits and several millions of GP aside. But at this point i need to start gathering some for training.
Plus those where too high level for me, so i would not have been able to equip them anyway (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

My equip is not that bad i think.
Couple of weeks ago i had these:

exquisite weapon bazaar bought.
exquisite shield selffound
exquisite head selffound.
exquisite body selffound
exquisite hands bazaar bought.
exquisite legs selffound.
exquisite feet selffound.

It would take me at that point A LOT of time and effort to try IW on mag/leg equipment at even hell and nintendo. I could do even DwD at pf but it took hours and hours (5-6 hours i think, but including breaks).

Then i get to find magnificent buckler and almost together magnificent body.
At that time i got the idea to swap to 1h/light armor so i didn't really try them too much.
Unfortunately soon i realized that light armor is much much better with DW, since most attacks would get evaded rather than blocked and DW has so much more damage.
So i let DW/light as a "clear the last arena" quickly at hard and looked at the wts for some equip.
So as i test the 1h/heavy with the mag shield+body i noticed a HUGE difference with before.
Things got soooooooooooooooooooooo much easier it was worrisome.
Stayed with them for a while and then i decided to visit the WTS.


Bought this for head at 110k and it devastated my soul fragments (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
These for feet at 40k
and then this and this for 10k and 40k but unfortunately i had miscalculated my soul fragment numbers so i don't have enough to equip them.
Yesterday i found alternative hands so till i get to the level of the ones i bought i'll keep them.

So right now i'm ok i think.




No doubt i need either a better shield or to upgrade my equipped one, but since i can do PF runs on arena TT&T with ease, i don't see the need. Yeah, if i want to do legendary equip IW at PF it's still hard, but at this point i can just do DWD at hard with DW/light and then according to the time left at PF TT&T and perhaps also eve of death and to kill a god (best exp gains for the time used).

if you compare your shield forged a bit and that buckler, you will find that there isn't that big of a difference (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
however i'd suggest you to upgrade it further only if you cannot really find anything better for a reasonable amount of credits.

How do you know what's your magic score ? I can't find it anywhere in the wiki O xO
Also, isn't 4% difference kind of ...small ?

Magic score is mdb*(1+edb/100)*(1 + crit/200). In past we used script for that, but seems it doesnt work correct anymore cos lvl/soulfusing stuff. In other words its something like adb for melee, but more important, because mage has weak defense and fast clear is musthave for lower income damage. I was impressed because only few points in staff below max is enough for 900 difference. Its very big amount. For example 33-->50 forge for all 4 phases in my set d give same 900 points (its ~17*4*210k=14,3m credits).

Gz. My first was leather, so you got not so bad one. At least it works a bit with 5 phase.

To boot things, right now i have 46 only soul fragments and i need to gather up to 121 for the leggings i bought.

Well worse case scenario i have this bought from the bazaar.
Even if it doesn't have an elemental attack i can enchant it according to the needs. But all in all... i can wait as well.

Now... since it just came to my mind... a... stupid question i want to ask for quite some time now.

You people are all saying you prefer having dark/holy attacks on the weapons. I suppose for the SGs.
However the SGs are only for the last 3 arenas and 1-3 monsters per round. Giants and the other high endurance monsters that are ever present are much more troublesome for my tastes, specially when after an OFC i have still every monster well and kicking o_O

Am i missing something or are the holy/dark needed just for a quick clear of SG arenas?
