QUOTE(Donald J. Trump @ Nov 9 2015, 13:00) Edit: Also, should I bother with trying the first stage of Ring Of Blood?
The first time, clear it at Normal for an easy credit reward. Keep the boss weakened and it should be okay.

Thank you! Finally cleared the first one even though I think I might have been a little late in clearing it,(the last time I tried it at level 50 I got one shotted by the Global Warming skill from Manbearpig).

The ring of blood arenas are mostly for the 1st clear bonus and very later on (lv.150+) for a specific trophies farm. Even if you delay a lot to clear them there is no issue, since you probably never want to do the 6 first again. The 1st one looks a little challenging as soon as you unlock it, but the remaining should look easy when you do them. They WILL BE easy, it's not an impression... but still don't let your guard down too much (always buff yourself and don't let your hp get low). You want to do all the ring arenas ONCE so when you have the tokens for a new one, don't worry about it and do it. Tokens WILL COME.

Thanks for the advice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)! !I'll jump into the second one once I get enough tokens.

Would like to ask a monster name evaluation. There is the rule that states: QUOTE No misleading names (e.g. "Weak Against Holy" or "Bob the Dragon" on a non-dragon monster) Now here is my monster's list: Initially i was planing to make the "-san" army (hence the cyborg girls who's name i can't change for free), but then i swapped to the "miniskirt wearing XXgirl". More spicy (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Up to this point no problems. Question on monster n.3 and n.9 No.3 I have an elemental with fire attacks. Now for me a slime is a basic elemental no matter how you see it. However a slime i think was always considered something weak against fire and strong against physical attacks. In your opinion is this one inappropriate? No.9 If i consider Morrigan from Darkstalkers the games description for "daimon" is on spot. Well i know about demons... not daimons so... it's still a weak to holly monster. It's not out of the rules, right?

As long as it's not specifically misleading there's no problem. Who knows if a "slime" is supposed to be weak or strong against certain elements? You'd have to assume non-HV information for that, and if someone does that, whatever they conclude is their own business. ([ www.kongregate.com] Here there are some slimes resistant to fire)

speaking of which, aren't all those elementals named 'i fear fire', 'i fear cold' etc etc a bit misleading? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

QUOTE(Epion @ Nov 9 2015, 20:38) -snip-
Some players don't seem to care about it. For example I noticed that some of the "[ hvlist.niblseed.com] I Fear" monsters are actually misleading. Like I Fear Fire actually has highest mitigation in fire. Also some of them that should fear crushing damage actually have +25 crushing mitigation, same applies for other mitigations too. I just started thinking those mobs are actually "I Don't Fear" instead of "I Fear" and these are probably not the only monsters that don't really follow the rule. Also we can't see what kind of Chaos Upgrades monsters have, so names that could hint to specific Chaos Upgrades being buffed or not upgraded can't be verified. For example maybe Long Live Heavy Melee has low parry/defense/fortitude, maybe not.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) DW with Rapier of slaughter in main hand I guess? Too bad you won't get the waki, because my lone ticket will bring it back home. Any tips to grind deprecating spells? My proficiency is just a pathetic 3.2, and took a while and tons of mana potions to get there spamming weaken on normal battles.

My proficiency is just a pathetic 3.2, and took a while and tons of mana potions to get there spamming weaken on normal battles. Use a Focus staff with good MC and all Cotton Don't cast Haste no matter what (increases mana draught regen/turn) Probably don't cast any other defensive spells unless you absolutely need them If that setup still uses too many potions, use an Aether Shard, its cost will be outweighed by the reduced cost in potions. You can also flee when mana gets low, restore mana, and start again, if you want. Play in a 103 PXP IW for least damage taken.

I got tons of crude at 103 pxp and nothing else falls below that so yup O 3O QUOTE(_bodi @ Nov 9 2015, 16:32) Any tips to grind deprecating spells? My proficiency is just a pathetic 3.2, and took a while and tons of mana potions to get there spamming weaken on normal battles.
You can do what Superlatanium said in normal mode so mob won't hurt ` 3`Just cast regen and spam weaken away. But I prefer to do it while training my staff proficiency though. Hit them with my broken staff until my oc filled up, focus to 0 oc, spam weaken, repeat O 3O
