QUOTE(Nekokon @ Nov 5 2015, 16:54) Anyone have advices on what to look for when buying mage stuffs :3 ? I'm thinking of going for elec set :3 See posts from past few days, there've been a few on that subject. Basically, get as best a staff as you can get, and then 4 phase + 1 prof (or 5 phase if staff has prof suffix).

Radiant prefix. otherwise, i guess Mystic is fine as well also, as a staff i guess a Shocking Willow of Destruction/Mjolnir. but if you only want to start, then pick simply a Willow with high Elec EDB and build a bit of budget This post has been edited by Scremaz: Nov 5 2015, 19:34

But before buying a radiant I guess it's better to start getting 50+ haths/day or something like that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Anyway, I have a leg mjolnir phase which does not require many fragments to soulbind. Offers are welcome.

But what range should I look for O xO ? When I buy melee stuffs I would compare the main stats with the one I'm using, but I've never tried mage so I don't know which stats should be prioritized Q xQ
I'm thinking of 200k ish per armor pieces and 500k ish for staff.

if i was in your shoes, go for Mag-range staff and armors. this way you should be able to see if mage style is good without investing too much. also, a few leftovers/low price things at auction. afterall, you're trying close a set atm, it doesn't really need to be very powerful (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Equipment_Ranges_ClothesI would say the wiki is good for figuring out the good ranges. Most important stat it's probably EDB, then evade, WIS and INT should also be important, but better wait for a real mage for deeper considerations.

at your level there aren't granted ways. just do all the possible arenas and sooner or later one of them will eventually drop. GF is fine as well, but be careful to flee before being defeated due to the condition penalty

I'm thinking of 200k ish per armor pieces and 500k ish for staff. High staff MDB very important, high staff/armor EDB very important, having Intel and Wis on all gear pretty important. High armor evade is pretty important, and also having Agi is useful (though the specific PAB stats don't really matter as long as they aren't missing completely). Don't worry much about specific mitigations or resist chance. I think your budget is too small to be successful on any interesting difficulty. High-tier mage is amazing, but low-tier mage is quite pathetic. (Compare to melee, where low-tier 1h is playable, and high-tier 1h is nice, but not quite amazing)

The higher level you are, the more arenas you'll be able to play, and the more tokens you'll get. Don't worry, at any decent rate of playing you'll get all the first clear bonuses in RoB easily.

Feel free to play on Normal or something, it's not like the arena clear bonus is likely to be useful anyway (and the credit reward is static regardless of difficulty).

I'm only gonna play mage on Hell or lower in non-school girls arenas for credit grinding and keep playing melee for higher difficulty. Is that much credit gonna be enough ? I'm not going to aim for top tier mage gear or clearing pfudor arenas or anything fancy >"<

Low difficulty mage is a time-efficient way to turn stamina into credits. REs will be very hard regardless of difficulty, just a heads up.

I can still do pfudor random thingy with my current melee set so it's all good. Until I got super rich and can afford the best gears I will just play both mage and melee where it's best fit O 3O

Cheap mage still should work with imperil. 2 cloth + staff gives 0,5prof factor even without forge and perk, which is 58 mitg reduction. More or less ok for many mobs. 3 phase with staff gives ~210+ edb for 310lvl. Its ~8k magic score and T3 average damage without resist is 50k. So more or less solid for 310lvl, because with crit its up to 80k. Against 8 mobs perfect hit has overall damage 640k. Melee at best only ~100k with 3pa and 3 counters.

Magic score 8k isn't cheapt at all, tbh. I'm sitting at 7,125 but hell isn't that difficult.

You ll get +1k at 310lvl if gear is binded. Score has huge scaling.
