QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Oct 21 2015, 14:54) If a player is playing on high-ish difficulty, there isn't much of an alternative. I think Average Rapier > Exquisite club/axe/waki/shortsword etc, at least on difficulties where the monsters take 4+ hits to kill. PA is just that good. Sure, rapier has low weapon damage, but a single stack of PA will probably give you effective damage significantly higher than an equivalent Axe.
I agree with that, that's why I said that after level 200 you should start switching to rapier (at level 150 I doubt that anyone can handle more than Nintendo so PA is not as effective). QUOTE(nec1986 @ Oct 21 2015, 15:20) Because i dont think its true. If 1h is missing often, than he probably doing something wrong. Maybe other style (like dw), but 1h? First, it has stun and stunned minion cant evade/parry. Even low chance, even 1 counter its still gonna be huge time when target is stunned (at least half). After that we have up to 100% counter-parry and more or less stable +50% acc from overwhelming. And finally ordinary parry/evade for 150lvl monster is 3%/1% (giant).
I was there a couple of months ago, and you can miss with 1h, probably because: 1) at level 150 you don't process as many stuns (and also you may want to finish non-stunned monsters instead of a nearly full-health ones) 2) overwhelming strike percentage should probably be around 20%, so it probably is usually off Actually I don't remember if I was missing at level 150, could have happened before (before reaching 100% accuracy), still can make a difference for really low level player. QUOTE(nec1986 @ Oct 21 2015, 15:20) But i also think weapon is our first thing we wanna soulbind/iw. Yes, in that sense rapiers are more future-proof, but I would actually keep two weapons, one for real battles and one for credits/tokens (normal/hard difficulties). QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Oct 20 2015, 23:06) There used to be a break-even point, but not anymore. Since the effects are now additive, 50k for an increase of (+2.99 multiplier to +3.00 multiplier) (the cost and benefit of the last training) is always better than 1.5m for an increase of (+x multiplier to +(x + .25) multiplier) (the cost and benefit of the first XP perk). Max out AL before getting any of the perks.
Since the cost per point of the hath perk is way beyond the final cost of the training, it's undoubtedly better getting to 300/300 first... I should probably spend those haths on IA3, though I don't really feel the urge to do so... VV maybe?

dark strike and fatality lv5 QUOTE(tetron @ Oct 21 2015, 20:31) As suspected. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) And what about the Waki? cold strike may be not-so-bad (for a DWer wind or elec may have been better, but still good) but has quite poor IW. at least fatality 5 or overpower 5 would have been required imo

QUOTE(Dan31 @ Oct 21 2015, 20:47) Why do you have such generic names for your lvl 10 equipment? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) currently my inventory is at 882 items. i need names that make me immediately recognize an equipment should i unequip it. furthermore, i don't really care about fancy names QUOTE(Void Domain @ Oct 21 2015, 20:50) Well personally I will go for overpower and fatality they suit light and heavy armor. And overpower is op (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) My rapier has 2lv swiftstrike as well I am just too lazy to iw uhu. my amnesia stock is too limited to allow me to go for 2 potencies at once (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) usually i want fatality 5 - i like that +81% crit damage very much (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) - so i unlock it first, amd do a quick check on the second one. and afterall, a bit of butcher is still better than nothing, right? QUOTE(Scremaz @ Oct 22 2015, 00:05) dark strike and fatality lv5
Frankly speaking, I never expected to get those without even a single reforge. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE(Scremaz @ Oct 22 2015, 00:05) cold strike may be not-so-bad (for a DWer wind or elec may have been better, but still good) but has quite poor IW. at least fatality 5 or overpower 5 would have been required imo
My most favorite potency for DW is Swift Strike. But I don't want to use any Amnesia Shard on the Waki, since nowadays I'm a mage 99.99% of the time. I only play melee if I'm too bored to play as a Mage. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE(Void Domain @ Oct 22 2015, 00:11) For offhand as long as 0 butcher its good to go, also the strike is whatever
Due to the ADB boost of non-slaughter gears, and the new offhand ADB limit of DW, butcher is not so useless in a Waki anymore. Same goes for Forging the ADB of a Waki. It's now quite solid. Lots of collector items on Equipment shop again, all kinds.
Edit: did someone just buy them all? I already pressed accept on that Fine Scythe with 3 PABs... But I was too late. Edit2: just out of curiosity, were there any Sword Chucks?
