Rapier: At that level players will likely be looking for quality better than 295 PXP and no stats even at S. If it was level 200 it might be sellable for 30k, but not at level 296.

it might worth a lot because evade P+ but not tons because E+ str and dex.

It's not junk, but it's not that good either. Shadowdancer is much better than Fleet (but at least Fleet is much better than any of the other possibilities). If you can't find anyone interested in it, which is likely, you might hang onto it just in case Shade becomes more viable in the next patch.

I'd usually say Butcher/Fatality/Overpower on mainhand and Fatality/Overpower on offhand - but why would you ever want to use a shortsword? Proc is near useless, and ADB is lower than Axe.

5 Swift Strike isn't good - SS in general is probably the least desired potency for all fighting styles, since it doesn't increase clear speed for most players, unlike the other 3 potencies. But level 10 reforge isn't worth the amnesia cost for any shortsword.

on my side, did someone unlock enigma energizer? is it worth it or better hoard hath for IA3?

EE is junk for melee, and very close to junk for all but the most highly forged mages. Better to go for IA3.

Ok, let's do math.

Dmg = base * type * speed * (1 + crit * ( 1 - crit_mod))

With your IW favoring speed, you should keep in mind, that speed in battle is multiplicative to any buff you have.
The first buff as DW you always go for is comming from AGI, capped at AGI = 2 level = +10% speed.
The second buff you should always have is haste +25% speed.
The third is a light armor ability called "Light Speed" with max points @ 250 invested is 0.025 * LA_proficiency
So with these estimated active buffs in battle, you already have
speed = 1 + (1 - (1 - AGI_buff) * (1 - haste) * (1 - LightSpeedBuff))
speed = 1 + (1 - 0.9 * 0.75 * (1 - 0.025 * 380 / 100))
speed = 1 + (1 - 0.6109) ~ +38.91%
With your IW this is now in battle:
speed = 1 + (1 - 0.6109 * 0.9) ~ 0.45%

You may be disappointed now, that you just have a gain of about +6% in battle, but for a DW you can not have enough speed to shorten your "turn duration". To see something like a "clock" in your battle log, take fixed time ticks, like regen ticks occuring, because the battle log always counts your turns, however "slow" or "fast" they are.
Also I recommend to forge your weapon to all stats +5 (without the use of bindings) to maximize the utility gained.
To close this review on DW I state, that for potencies on weapons of balance:
- Swift strike > fatality > butcher. (If you want to do the math yourself, use the Cobb-Douglas ulitity function)
- Do not go for butcher, if you do not plan to forge that weapon further than 5.
- Always go for potencies, that can not be forged, because you can always re-IW, if you meet the utility border when forging / leveling-up.

Uh... Image a Peerless Ethereal Wakizashi of Swiftness with Swift 5... That should be a cut-throat bid item on any auction, because
- it's additive on a single item and
- I would estimate this at above 29% +speed.

I'm still pondering whether to salvage or sell that legendary shade gear, or let it pollute my already sizable inventory list until I can figure out a WTS selling price for it on my own.

Wasn't there a script somewhere that calculated the value of gear?

I think u can let one of those ppl that run auctions to appraise the value of ur item and possibly auction it off for u.

I thought a few of them dwelled here and could give me a numerical value. But yeah, I'll go check the auctioneers on WTS, a 10% fee shouldn't hurt.

If it sells, u'l earn at least a minimum of 50k, i think its worth trying compared to straight up salvaging.
Worse to worst, it doesn't sell, u get it back, then maybe u may decide to salvage or bazaar it then.

On a side note: I wonder what it would take to convince 10B to bring back LU gear. I can't even imagine this game is playable anymore in the early stages without the LU gear that was gifted to me back then.

Same here, thanks for that force shield u gave me during my earlier levels (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
If not for that i probably wouldn't have transitioned that smoothly into 1h+shield.
I doubt the LU gears will come back, but he does need to fix the issue that gearing up for new-comers in the early stages is practically non existent.

Having to maul monsters to death with ur bare fist all the way until u find ur first weapon.
Man.. that was rough.
I didn't know about the HV community here til i hit around level 150 where info on the wiki didn't seem sufficient enough.
So i can guess there's probably a bunch of newbies out there punching monsters right now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

The only other reason why i survived the early levels is probably from buying LU equipment from the bazaar. Then again, would require people to bazaar their LU items.
So in the end, i pretty much relied on the ppl who had LU gear.

So yeah, early level is broken as hell. Definitely needs change (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
