I upgraded my Magnificent Amber Force Shield of Protection's block to level 5 as advised.
I don't suppose its worth it to spend anymore on it, right? Since it now needs bindings.

well, actually how much to forge it depends on you alone - you are already at P level by now, btw. bindings of the barrier are quite cheap, so at this point the only limit for a while will still be matrixes. it's unlikely that you'll change catalyst tiers for a while, so you'll only have an increasing price when switching (slowly but steadily) from MG wood to HG wood.

finally, i'd forge PABs while you're at it, since it's basically free. even AGI, since it may still add a few SP (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

nah, not base 37.43, its only base 35. the 37.43 should be forged value. Bought this shield off the bazaar (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

one matrix per level. but once you unlocked that level, you can safely upgrade all the other stats to that very same level - provided you have enough materials, catalysts, bindings... whatever is needed

yup. 25 actuators, priced at 50k each - as the bare minimum. throw in a bunch of catalysts and a shitload of LG/MG metals as well, let's say 1.3M

Before upgrading you should ask yourself this "Do I want to change my stuff ? And if so, how much credits do I want to sink into ?"
If answers are no/not much, then keep upgrading at your own pace.

I say that but I'm not a heavy player after all. It's just in my opinion it's not worth to spend thousand of thousands of credits into buying new stuff when you're not sure of yourself, because you arrive at a lvl when the crappiest of crap you wanna buy will cost a ton.

And when you upgrade you can salvage your old stuff and get 90% of the materials invested back. 90% rounded down. Some even whisper you loose forge XP equivalent to that you forged on the salvaged item... So its not that great loss.
So the steps are:
- Acquire new
- IW new in old gear
- maybe soulbind new
- salvage old
- forge new
- equip new.

If you tend to have multiple sets, have credits to spend ready.
