But Arcanist can sell more than negation, because its cool? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

You do not expect me to answer, do you? I am damn sure, you find all facts in the wiki... Just when you do a utility spread sheet on different light armor types and what they offer compared to each other, be sure to add the weapon(s) which can go with that kind of armor. Then you can see, why negation has a reason to exist even at this patch. Hint: resist mechanics and those three successful rolls to resist 90% of incoming damage.... Could be an interesting utility for non-shield users that have below 50% resistance (resistance_total is the actual success condition) and do not have z millions to by a decently rolled SD or even have different stat weightings... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Oct 11 2015, 17:57) *

Let's hope so. 0.84 can't come soon enough. Ideally, things would be balanced enough so anyone could play any style with at least some efficiency on some difficulties, rather than our current "1h or mage and nothing else" for clear speed.

If you go for clear speed even 1h shield (limited to 3 parries per turn) is not optimal compared to a mage. The chance of successfully clearing something raises with credits invested in the gear / type of gear. Mages are high level, so they can invest high stackes. But we should focus on "At least you survive clearing it" or "You can clear it with ease" or something. A comparison of survivability to damage is the best at mid-range I think.

Well I mean negation is better than arcanist, but arcanist can sell more. Why? Because its cooler? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Ranges light armor You should see it has Mag_Acc, Int and Wis. So if you are casting more than 10% of your turns, you could think, that Arcanist may offers utility. Nevertheless, it does not contribute to any physical damage aspects.

The wiki says Stamina is consumed each round. This means encounter rounds (like the ones in Arena) and not turns of combat (like a buff's duration), right?

Yep. So mage has the same stamina usage per round as melee, even though mage finishes rounds 4x as quickly.

I'm starting to invest in some training and I have a couple questions. Why are the monster upgrades and the mastery upgrade so expensive? From what I can put together it seems like focusing on the prof and the rare drop would be best at my level. Does gaining prof increase your experience?

may be wrong topic, but still a currency question....I always thought that through tagging GP is earned.. but reading the wiki etc i couldnt find any hint for what tagging and cleanup is actually useful? only the ranking points at the end of the year?

I don't know. It would seem that only the richest players with 200 monsters would buy the monster lab upgrades, since it's so costly, and since monster food / happy pills are relatively cheap.

The best thing to train is Adept Learner to 150 or so, Pack Rat to 4 or so, and the rest to the point where the next training costs ~1/4 of your daily income - except for Assimilator, it's useless.

Tagging gives nothing but toplist points. Same for cleanup.

Thanks, why is Assimilator useless? I would've thought the opposite. Why is adept learner so useful? It seems like experience builds pretty fast as it is.

For anyone who plays regularly, proficiency will grow to match your level very quickly, and past level ~250, a player will usually only be gaining prof for the first few rounds after a level up (eg. prof going from 250 to 251). So increased prof gain rate is useless.

Experience: The higher level you are, the stronger you are. This is especially true for those below 350; leveling up gives a significant boost to firepower and toughness, and more innate toughness means the ability to use fully offensive gear (such as Power Slaughter, or mage), which means much faster clearing speeds, and the ability to fight on higher difficulties. The more Adept Learner you have, the less you have to suffer through underpowered low levels.

Assimilator is for lazy people only. And adept learner is good because you want to "get out of the dumpster" asap. At level 300 you unlock all the arenas and start to realize more about the game.

Thanks, I'll focus on adept learner. Though my proficiency doesn't seem to be matching so far.

Though I am lazy.

I remember that game... have played that a while. Firing caterpillars for exp, daylong farming ants for rare drop and something like clock mobs in tower.

UPD. Btw, 191% magical hit chance is enough? As i remember i need 200% for 0 evade.

Now I've got this in my head again: Time to leave town for the daily fly grind

Today has been a very weird day, two legendaries and my first figurine, is there a script that can hide or at least separate the trophies from the figurines? I can already see myself screaming nooooooooo, like when I would set my foot in Prontera during a griefer summon festival in RO.

Was trying out a few arena with my 2H setup, and I know why I was switching to DW now.
Took 34985634563745 turns to kill the school girls (/ ` A') -'---'-

Bye bye 1H, it was fun grinding your proficiency yesterday.

....I lied, it wasn't Q.Q
