rather than TTT you can go T&T at average difficulty and aiming at the goddesses without killing the tree first. your aim is 200 prof for mass-counters

This doesn't work anymore, unfortunately. Even their normal attacks start dealing spirit damage after a few thousand turns.

Crude IW on IWBTH or PF is best now.

If you're smart and don't like playing with low proficiency, it's easy to get proficiency close to your level with Spellspam in an IW while paying no attention at all. Once you do that, you'll probably be strong enough to fight with a mix of Plate and Power.

Wiki on Silence: The target is silenced, preventing it from using special attacks and magic.

Wiki on monster's special attacks: The skill at PL 400 costs 100% SP and is more powerful than both MP skills.

So Silence does eliminate all MP & SP skills, leaving just one way of attacking: normal attack

Crude IW, use Spellspam with Scan. Don't use Haste. All you have to do is re-cast Regen every so often. Other than that you can Spellspam while paying no attention at all, while watching something else in another window, and your prof will catch up to your level quickly.

You also should be level 310+ to play on higher difficulties, else you won't be able to Imperil and will only be able to play on ~Hell?.

So "hard" isn't really the right word, but it does have requirements before you can start maging efficiently.

Armor prof is not hard to get, especially in 1H style (I think you can still get prof when countering). Just don't use Shadow Veil (you don't really need it in 1H anyway).

When switching from 1H to mage, you first need a decent mage set (staff with matching prefix/type/suffix towards a particular element, with phase of that element and maybe some prof cotton for landing Imperil more easily), you have to rebalance your stats, especially INT, you need to discard melee abilities and pick mage-related ones (requires a lot of ability points if you want to keep melee ones). At lvl 310, you can max Faster Imperil, which is really important for elemental mages, so maybe wait until that point. Maging is a decent way to clear arenas at low difficulty btw, and you probably won't need Imperil for that.

Crude IW is where you will find the weakest monsters. The aim is not to clear rounds but to get hit again and again without it being life threatening.

I think that problem was only happening with Chrome for some reason. Try with Firefox?
Otherwise, maybe just use another mousemelee script and change the default action to the spell in question.
