Mage is significantly more difficult than melee before ~310. But if you do mage, then bring Agi near the level of Intel and Wis - the extra evade will help you stay alive.

Thx for the info, but where do I even get these shards (which shop)... Are they even suppose to drop, lol. I've got all kinds of shards but Amnesia... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)
Or, just go to shop links yourself until you find sellers. Many exist.
Sure, if you're going to IW, you're probably going to keep the equip for a while, and 10k-20k is very little in exchange for some guaranteed nice potencies.

As for my rapier, it's an EXQ, hallowed of balance. I didn't get a rapier since I was lvl 160, that's why I soulfused it... it shouldn't be too shabby though with good prefix+suffix right? I suppose I can't really do much at this point but wait for some shards, but is it even worth it? Advice pls (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
oh, another thing: when you want to start an IW do the first run in hell to have more control on the result - this way you'll only unlock one level at start rather than two. should you be happy enough with it, then go at the maximum possible difficulty for your level - which is, what allows you to safely bring home PXP

I dont use most of the stuff in hv stats. For loot tracker and fast skills you can search the wiki to find some alternatives
speaking of which, i never downloaded it but if it's like HVStat Slim useless functions can be safely removed, right?
Talking about HVStat, are there any other scripts that show the monster HP in numbers over the health bar? I'm too lazy to look at the spawn information in the beginning of every round to check which monsters I should attack first. It would be more efficient (especially for SP) to kill the low HP monsters first, but at the moment I just hold numpad 0-9 until all monsters are dead.
I used to use HVStat, but it was just too slow, made terrible memory leak to my browser and crashed it once in a while. I have to say that biggest improvement in time/round was when I stopped using HVStat and got a dedicated faster browser for HV. My ping to HV is ~30 and PC is good enough, so the browser speed is the most limiting factor. I would recommend anyone looking for faster clear times to look at the speeds of their browsers, though seems like high ping is an issue for many players too. I would also like to know if there is another battle log highlight script/userstyle, it was really handy for noticing crits and other stuff, someone else asked this too a while ago. I saw there is a CSS file for the battle log on the HVStat Github page, but apparently it's tied to the addon or something?
I would also like to know if Power armor is really worth investing in. I'm using light armor with 1H + shield at the moment and doing RE on PUFDOR and arenas on IWBTH for time and SP efficiency. I think I could play arenas on PFUDOR too, but I would have to pay attention to the game and probably use spirit draughts and maybe even potions all the time to keep up with the SP drain from SS. One thing that could help a lot is the monster HP display of HVStat, but it's not worth the slowdown. Would Power armor solve the SP problem and let me play PFUDOR mindlessly?
Here is my rather random equipment at the moment: Rapier, Buckler, Helmet, Body, Hands, Legs, Feet. Some stats: I like the easy MP management of light armor and the attack speed bonus is helpful. I was using a wakizashi for a long time and at around ~25% attack speed boost I could perma stun one enemy with shield bash if needed and the buffs lasted longer. I switched to rapier a while ago (because of all the recommendations), it is powerful but less defensive. However, the higher damage and faster kills pretty much balance out the worse defense compared to wakizashi.
To be honest I think PA is too strong compared to BW and perhaps BW should be buffed, it is the most common proc too since there are more weapons that proc BW. Assuming the wiki is right and the formula for BW damage is "Damage done = Bleeding % * base damage * Stack * 0.4", it would be easy to buff just by changing the last variable to higher number, right?
What about hath perks? Should I get RR or VV first, or maybe save the credits to buy Power armor? I already have IA III to support my lazy playing style.
they drop every now and then at every difficult except Normal and well, judging by the name i wouldn't bother too much on that rapier, void strike would be the best upgrade. should you also reach a few fatality or butcher levels on it while IWing, all the better - otherwise not that big of a matter. further evaluations if you post the link (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

do you really need it? first mob that has to die is the most dangerous one, not the tankiest one - which for a 1H build means the one(s) that can deal the most powerful MP/SP attacks, especially if magical type. tankiest usually are giants, which aren't that big of a matter to begin with.

yup. imagine that most of your firepower comes from power armors. even magical attacks won't be that big of a problem if spirit shield is always on (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

first line of defense is block. parry only comes at the second place - so you can really afford it's a bit less than before - and evade should be avoided as much as possible: proc-ing before block/parry will remove a certain amount of counters. use it (via shadow veil) only as last resort

true. but as things are nowadays, PA is also the only viable proc to finish quests in reasonable times. for BW to be still reliable it should be 2~3 times more powerful than now, i guess

don't know how good RR may be, but surely VV is a nice choice
Guys,is it reasonable to use Noodly?i have 17 but not using it,i have not so much good equip(not even single one Mag)or is it better to sell it to traders?
replace that buckler with a force shield. or at least a barrier one. also, given your level you can start looking for power armors - and definitely migrate to them when you'll unlock 'better block' ability at lv250

17 noodlies still means 400k or so. i'd sell them and let higherups deal with the shrining stuff. and well, my 1H build was entirely made by exquisites until a couple of week ago. now it's still 4 out of 5 pieces (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You can find one with many available within the first 3 links. Takes only 15 seconds, I promise.

Power is great, it gives a huge increase in your clear speed. If you have the funds, you'll be very happy once you switch.
RR is not worthwhile given infinite items, but VV is good. But you might first get Power Slaughter worth IWing and forging to 5.

nice, thanks.Have one more question About Amn shard....it's only resets IW and upgrades of an item?

I guess I don't really need it, but it was really useful especially for avoiding those MP/SP attacks because I could kill the low HP (usually magical) monsters before they could use the skills. At the moment I don't stop to evaluate the monsters (at least on IWBTH), my finger is already pressing number 1 when the previous round ends. For light armor piercing type MP/SP attacks are by far the most dangerous ones. Every time I miss a monster with those skills and let them gain MP/SP I pay for it dearly, usually 50-100 SP per attack (I'm looking at you Mieu (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)). I'm actually using HVStat Slim Mod at the moment, but it's not quite the same.

I know evade is eating my counter attacks which leads to less OC and stuns, I don't use shadow veil on IWBTH. With light armor perma OC is only possible when there are ~6+ monsters per round, with 4 monsters my spirit stance lasts about 7 rounds before I have to recharge. It's not a big deal for me though, gaining it back takes only 1-2 mosters.

Power armor seems to be the most recommended armor for 1H indeed. Good Power armor is just really expensive because of the high demand, I don't have several millions of credits to put into a single piece of armor at the moment. I will probably start looking into it slowly on WTS and auctions anyway. Someone should update the HentaiVerse Advice page on the wiki, seems like the information on hath perks if outdated. Same thing seems to apply for the wiki in general at the moment though.
