Its with imperil. But probably my set fits non-imperil way much better. I just replace one cotton with phase and use 4+1 with 13,5k magic score (something like 2700 mdb with 312 edb). Yea, its also edb staff and its not very good for imperil way.

as for maces, in general 2H style is viable at lower difficulties. imo maces are still the best, but we're still speaking about the best among the worst. somehow it may still be viable even at high difficulties, but you need high levels as well.
as for clubs, DW style is still viable. among the many combinations, the best atm are (rapier of slaughter + waki of nimble) and (club of slaughter + rapier of balance)

You sure? Cause I've been using Imperil-Mage since Lv.270 or so, and I don't recall there being any particular build for Imperil way. Anything goes well with Imperil, even Holy/Dark.

club is redundant since counters already deal stun effect - so why not taking advantage of it and look for something else? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
apart from the fact that BW process isn't even comparable to PA atm, axe doesn't increase your parry, so less chance to counter. should you really go with a BW weapon (for example, to start with a low budget) i'd suggest you a shortsword at this point: cheap, decent damage and parry

Im currently using a force shield with STR DEX END PABs. Is it worth it to switch to a shield with higher Block% but STR DEX AGI PABs or should i just stick to a lower base block% 31.88% vs 35.06%? In short, is the increase in 3.18 base block% worth dropping END on PAB?

if ur not thaaat poor.. look in the auctions for a 40+ block shield.. you will see the difference certainly!
if AGI or END is rather a money question than.. I got mine for ca 700k and im satisfied with it until i get one with max stats and thanks to your 1h block ability it will increase to 3-4 % more block at the end.

you can bazaar/salvage it whenever you want. also, don't bother with looking a high quality since it will be only a temporary solution.
BW is Bleeding Wound, the proc associated with all cutting weapons: axes, shortsowrds, wakis, longsowrds, katanas.

If you go for that you may find some exq 2pab in shops, but when lookong for a shield, why you go all out for force shield so "early"? Those unbound 3PABs are mostly gone, exept you look deep on shops... If you just happen to find a unbound 3PAB Buckler like an exq version of this one Legendary Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster this should cost less than a force shield and should help you gaining supportive and deprecating profs faster.
The block is the last check before the hit, before are evade and parry. Having high parry at your level is more useful imho than 50% block. Monsters should not be perked that high at anti-you-name-it. So it is the old 1-(1-evade)*(1-parry)*(1-block) that shows how often you get hit.

The shortsword with BW (Bleeding Wound proc) you have is ... uhm.... quite too high. 497 means you can soulfuse it at 397 with 150+ fragments and then it is still EXQ... a lower 3PAB mag even with balance, nimble(!) or other less chosen suffixes serves you more. To go max DPS you need to hit every single hit. You get parried or evaded you do not go max. Bleeding Wound is estimated not to have the best DPS per tick compared to PA (Penetrated Armor proc) found on rapiers. Hunt the shops and you surely will find a affordable one, or post in WTB that you need one and state, what you are willing to pay for it.

nope. first evade, second block. third parry (for physical attacks) or resist (for magical attacks). once all of these fail, all you have left are mitigations (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Its equal with 0 forge, but if we forge 5 phase set than edb becomes not very good. It easy can be 500-1k magic score difference between destruction staff and edb even at our lvls. But it also has weak spot, because good destruction cost much more and mdb forging is also more expensive.

I dont think next patch ll do something good) Thats why i dont upgrade mage. Dont wanna waste many credits. Actually my current result isnt very bad, so i also dont rush with forging. Fest is quite useless and in arena i wont see big difference. I also have this one for upgrade in future:
another pants (but that int ll increase my clearspeed only like 1,5%, thats not vital).
