Edit: and I ran into the ultimate limiter of all, after a big Arena run my stamina is down to 85. Gonna have to wait FIFTEEN HOURS to hit the Arena again. ARGH.

If you want to play, go for it. Playing on <80 stamina gets you the (nearly) the same amount of experience per stamina point, plus you get a lot more income and drops. It's only that worth considering if you sometimes play above 80 and sometimes play below 80, in which case the best option is to play the higher arenas on high stamina, and the leftovers on low stamina.

I was browsing Superlatanium's store and a question struck me... is 5-ish the highest amount of block you're going to get from plate greaves? Would be nice if one could raise block to 50-60% or so...

In this case, look at http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Equipment_Ranges_Heavy#Plate_Greaves, and you'll see that the estimated maximum base state for peerless shielding greaves is 6.33.

Interpreting these ranges is a bit harder, and I've not quite figured out the new changes since 0.82 patch.

Unimportant. Zircon would likely be near the top, like ruby, but at the point you're at you should just be focusing on block chance (and Endurance existence, and PMI).

If the type of shield you want is not one you're going to soulfuse, then 2 PAB is definitely fine. (skip Str or Dex, probably Str)

"Of Warding" is also probably fine for your level because you're quite vulnerable to Sprite and Celestial SP attacks, and will continue to be even after you get Spirit Shield, for a while. (They're the ones that Void oneshot you on high difficulty)

Finding Mag quality ones may be difficult though, since your level is low, and 0.81 shields have significantly lower block.
