I think he was referring to soul fragments from item shop as the sink? Impatient rich players might buy them so they can IW quicker...?

But most people of a reasonably high level who play RE should have more than enough soul fragments already I think.

I think many of the new ones are in the same category as Repair Bear (for most). Rich players who don't care might buy them for the hell of it even though it's not worth it, and the boss will benefit from the hath sink.

Even so, I think that the IW prices aren't really to make a killing out of players who can't do it on their own. But, it's set to compensate them for the stamina consumed, as well as the opportunity cost of doing IW instead of doing grindfest. I don't think there's so much room for prices to go down, especially while energy drink prices keep creeping up.


Clearing GF @ Hell with Crystarium III gave me just 22k crystals, down from 36k pre-patch. With this patch, it does not seem sensible to attempt to clear GF, and I should just aim for a difficulty where I can flee after 400-600 rounds.

Not lose, but some profit reduction. 14k crystals was ~50-60k. It d be ok without new perks, because less crystals = higher price. But price can even drop a bit, because with perks amount of crystals is higher.

Yes he does. Hath is generated from H@H and donations, which he wants to incentivize us to spend so that we either buy hath (necessitating that someone else is farming hath) or generate it ourselves.

It's not out of nowhere at all. Donations of $ and servers are the generators of hath. They're directly connected; more perks and more spending on perks means more valuable hath, which means more reason for people to start up H@H servers and buy stars. Of course Tenboro wants to encourage that as much as possible.

Ok, according to that post, previous bonus was 7.5 and now it is 5 => max gfbonus was 4.5, now it is 2.

In 0.83 less GF rounds give more possible crystals relative to total possible amount to get from GF.
Simple simulation shows ~30% reduction of base crystals drop at final round on PF, ~55% on Normal. And, if rumors about 50 crystals max per drop is not rumors, you, probably, don't want to play GF on PFUDOR to get ~8% more crystals per completion comparing to playing it on IWBTH.

IA 1 and 2, then either IA 3 or VV, depending on how much you want more defense. Everything else is likely too expensive to consider until heavy grinding at level 350+.
