QUOTE(CronoBoA @ Jul 24 2015, 14:17) I'm happy to see qw3rty67 disappear as well. However, I can't help but wonder if EsotericSatire was inspired by SAO's Death Gun or something similar, in a case of life imitating art.
Death gun uses a gun. I use a microwave forged banite katana. Completely different.

How many did you sell? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE(Fap.Fap @ Jul 25 2015, 20:42) ohm... if I would soulfuse an item, what stats exactly rise with the level then? do the PA rise? its personal Damage number?
Burden, Interference and Proc Chance are static and don't scale with level. Everything else will increase. Some increase is small, some is notably big. QUOTE(Fap.Fap @ Jul 25 2015, 20:42) ive read to max its potency first before soulfousing, is there some truth?
Zero truth. It's pure fiction.

So is there any particular reason why 50% block is better than 50% evade? I've yet to find any information on why block is so much more tank-like than evade considering they both do the same thing.
Is there a combat roll I'm missing that explains this?

with a shield you also have a chance to stun the enemy that u blocked and even more you have a chance to counter attack that attack on you and evade only avoids physical damages, not magic.

Is there a combat roll I'm missing that explains this? When a 1h player blocks, the enemy that attacked takes some damage from the counter-attack, is stunned for a few turns, and the 1h player gains some overcharge (if no other monsters have been counter-attacked that turn yet). When an attack is evaded, none of those three things happen, and the monster is free to attack again right away next turn (or maybe even the same turn, if its speed is high enough). Unless I'm in PFUDOR-fest, I would prefer to have 0 evade so I have the most chances of [damaging monsters via counter-attack] and [gaining OC], both increasing clear speed. (Evade is rolled before block) QUOTE(Fap.Fap @ Jul 25 2015, 21:26) evade only avoids physical damages, not magic. This is not correct. This post has been edited by Superlatanium: Jul 25 2015, 23:52

Yep, evade works same way. But if block is shield, than it has counter-attacks (stun+damage). Its very big difference this way, because stun usually reduce overall damage in 3 times and higher. In any other way block without shield is completely same (maybe shielding gear?) as evade.
Also i d add block counts after evade (more evade - less blocks) and its not the same as protection. Full formula is: 1. all cases - evade 2. That - block 3. That - parry/resist 4. That * protection * mitg. Many players after that could think block/evade is much/much better than protection/mitg. It has sense, because if we have 50% block than only in half of all cases we use our protection. But its also wrong, because block/evade is chance. If monsters hit us 10 times for 1k unmitg, than with 2 sets: a. 60% block, 60% pmi. Minimal incoming damage is 0 (all blocked), average income damage is 1600 and maximal income damage is 4000. b. 50% block, 70% pmi. Minimal same 0, average is 1500 and maximal is 3000. Even if we count 45% block with 70% pmi, than average is 1650 (higher), but maximal is still 3000. In reality it means we have less dangerous rounds (and it means we use less cures).

So then as I thought, there isn't a difference between the two, and it's not that block is more tanky, but it's the counter-stun from one-hand. Interesting.

yup. basically, only reason because block is more appealing than evade is because 1H-related ability is simply overpower. without that, it will only be another defensive layer
