I honestly don't know how people sit through grindfest or anything over 30 rounds… and even that amount is pushing it. Too much effort IMO.

There should be something grossly inefficient with how you played this. As a Level ~ 350 mage, I cleared PFUDOR DwD in less than two hours with extensive tapping, and IIRC some of the regular melee guys (nec1986/Superlatanium?) cleared PFUDOR Grindfest in not many more hours.

SG arenas aren't worth doing on higher than Normal IMO, if someone has crystal perks.

PFU DwD just need around 47~50 mins for me with my regular ping and poor 1H set (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
~ with heavy slow ping problem like now , cost me around 1H to clear it ~ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

some of top tier 1H like cat or kokoroc just need around 30mins (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Yea. Thats more than 30k turns for me. So its 4+ hours. But i dont play melee a while. I spend 10-20m on mage and it looks much better. Even pf arena in 1.5-2 times faster. Actually holy d be even better, but i already got hath prof and soulbinded some items.

Mage also has some weak sides. A bit more focusing and much lower t/sec. 1,5 for mage is equal to something like 2,5 for melee. But cleearspeed is much-much better. I mean like clear pf round in 8-10 turns.

Really? I'm still clearing them at PF-Hell daily. Mainly for the exp, under 1.5 hours for the three.

The alternative is Grindfest, but it doesn't seem all that enticing since crystals aren't worth much. Is anyone still buying crystals?

my set only has 6.8k so his set definitely isn't a cheap set.

As far as I can remember, it didn't conclude. Some preferred SS because of its "smooth flow" of gameplay, while some argued for Fatality because of obvious reasons.

My best monster is PL 180-something and hasn't gotten a win in at least 2 months, but I still get automatic gifts so I'm happy.

No matter the PL, they still bring gifts per 3 days in the least. So what I focus on is reaching a satisfactory PL (200-205) to reduce the Hunger and Morale drop rate. Nowadys don't cross PL-250 just to be cautious, in case some grand changes are made to Monster Lab in the future. Then at least I'll be able to delete the monsters and start over again.

I dont remember when last time cleared sg arena. Its so slow even on hell.

Nope. I clear them in PFUDOR regularly, and they still occasionally produce random Leg drops, even though 99.99% of the time they are useless Cotton/Leather/Plate. On the other hand, Crystals are never enough, no matter how much you grind. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

well , another example is when I still using 1H with full set of power protection (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I need 75~80mins to clear DwD with around 7,1k or 7,2 ADB in lvl 393~395 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

now I only need 47~ 50mins with my current set (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
~58~60 mins with my nearly 400ms ping problem ( my regular usual ping is 250~290ms ) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)
