Well, I just wrote a descriptive reply thanking everyone for their advice, whereupon I accidentally hit the alt key and erased the entire thing... So, Thanks for the advice. I'll try to do what I can, which atm means doing the half hourlies at less than hell level, because of the state of my equipment, whereas pre-patch I could do IWTBH pretty much w/o thinking. It is going t take me a looong time getting the 100k I need just to repair my armor. It somewhat pisses me off, as I'm now feeling pressure to donate. I had been considering donating for two months now as I had been enjoying the game, but since this patch experience, which has been painful, and anything but enjoyable, and because of how much more this game is costing me, I am feeling bullied into donating, just to to keep my head above water. My natural response to this is to give HV a big FU, but I'm biting my lip for the moment. I'll try to attach screen shots of my abilities, which I've actually already taken, if that will help. I just wish I could just insert it here, as opposed to hunting down some image hosting service, registering there, posting the image there, and then linking it here. That is more time and effort than I really want to spend, but I'll give it a shot. Also, any further advice, or direction to some post-patch guide would be greatly appreciated.

Each of my pieces needs 55-65 scrap metal or leather, at $100 pop - weapon, helmet, chest, gloves, legs, boots - $6000 x 6 = $36,000, so I guess I exaggerated. With my current credit situation, it feels like $100k. I'll try that service tomorrow, getting late now. Thanks for the response.

You should never buy scrap at the item shop. The WTS/WTB sections have it somewhere between 70c-90c each.

QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Jul 3 2015, 02:31) just use some free image hosting like tinypic Are there user restrictions on adding attachments, too? There should be a box for it under Post Options in this thread, unless he's only using quick reply. QUOTE(summ @ Jul 3 2015, 02:26) doing the half hourlies at less than hell level, because of the state of my equipment Follow these steps: - spark, spirit shield, haste in this order
- activate all three draughts
- sleep on the bottom three, confuse on the next three, silence on the top three
- get all your other buffs on while doing this
- sleep the confused three
- attack only the top monsters until you get 180 oc
- activate stance, then use all three skills in a row (top half should be dead)
- silence and weaken the bottom half of the monsters
- repeat for the bottom half of monsters
Works regardless of gear level. There really should be a partial repair option, though. Zero reason to require full repair or nothing.

Thanks For the advice Qw3rty67, Strangely, I'd not needed to use depreciating magic at all as of yet, but perhaps I should start. Pre Patch, unless it were a full screen of mobs, like 12 or so, I'd just hit spark, spirit, protection veil hot and then knock them silly, stun them, so I could caste haste and hope for a free hunter. I survived randoms that way, doing IWTBH difficulty. sometimes popping a mana potion if I were healing a lot. Post patch, I'll now try what you suggest, but will also need to do it at what used to be a laughably easy difficulty until I can repair, or get better armor. It is annoying that I seem to be required to put in much more time and effort than I want to, or had planned to, just to work towards some semblance of how things worked for me in the past. Since the patch, I've gone from over 50k to less than 1k, and have done $36k damage to my armor, lost my investment in the old consumables, and am finding the new ones only drop may once in three fights, while needing to use them in every fight. So far, the loot I'm getting in no way compensates for this, so how is this to become a profitable venture for me?

My equipment was fine, for months, until the patch. Running Arena on normal for hours a day looks like what I'm going to need to do...Don't really have the time to do so...but what the heck, there's nothing more important I could be doing for hours this weekend than HV right? No holiday or anything silly like that.
Yes that was sarcastic.

repair cost, in terms of number of scrap materials used, is higher now cos you no longer need catalyst for repairs.
next time just salvage any average and below equipment that you get. you will save a lot more money than buying them.
and how many scraps do you need to repair your mace and leather?
i may be able to spare you some scrap metal. can't spare you any scrap leather though cos most of them has already been traded for wood/metal.
maybe someone else may be able to spare you.
also for equipment, next time just mouse over the equipment and press keyboard 'c' and copy and paste the url of the equipment popup.

QUOTE(summ @ Jul 3 2015, 03:23) 90 int Take a few points out of everything and raise that to at LEAST 150. More points spent on stats give you more base spirit points. Why so hard rotation? Even with mage on pf i use only imperil for offense. And my mage stats is very low. Its like 56% pmi with 46% evade and 18,5% parry. And i also face 380lvl mobs which is stronger.

I can send you all my unused scrap leather and metal once I complete this schoolgirl arena. Should at least be enough to repair two of the armors, I think. Perhaps repair the breastplate and leggings first. Just send me some scraps that you don't use (wood/cloth?) when you're able to (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) You've understood that in the new patch, you must choose to flee instead of simply fighting until you're dead, right? Let us know if there's something that can help you get back on your feet after having learnt this lesson. Need draughts? QUOTE(qw3rty67 @ Jul 3 2015, 15:20) Follow these steps:[list] [*]spark, spirit shield, haste in this order [*]activate all three draughts
Imo, I think it should be Haste, Spark, Spirit Shield. You wouldn't die on first turn right? Draughts are now zero time. So you might use it immediately once the stat is below full. Also, I think he said the draughts aren't dropping for him for some reason. QUOTE There really should be a partial repair option, though. Zero reason to require full repair or nothing.
It is probably unnecessary complexity, UI clutter and coding for most cases. This post has been edited by mozilla browser: Jul 3 2015, 12:34

I think it was yesterday, I walked in RE IWBTH, put Haste on, and I was dead. My eq is shit though, I'm collecting credits now to get a full gear set. I suppose I can't do training and buying at the same time, unless I sell all my WTS items and get at least >1m credits. But then I'd contemplate whether to get perks and so on.

QUOTE(forneus_zero @ Jul 3 2015, 15:07) Noobs question, what is the correct way to use spirit stance? All im doing is basically activate SS all the way through the arena+spamming draught+buff (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I dont use shield bash or that thing which cost OC or any deprecating spell (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I think I'm doing it wrong (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) for 1h (like what you're doing, since you spoke about shield bash) the best way to use it is to keep it always active to boost regular damage and lower the cost of supportives you have to cast every now and then (haste, spirit shield, protection, regen, cure). every now and then you can even allow yourself to cast OFC. no need to use skills

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Items#Trophies : QUOTE The results of trophy hand-ins are not affected by anything else in the game such as Luck of the Draw training. For some reason, I seem to have significantly more of the primary crystals than the mitigation crystals. I don't think there's any bias in the ratio that they are dropping or from the shrine. Not sure if it is due to how the monster lab babysitter feeds monsters, or if smaller numbers of mitigation crystals are initially required to keep monsters happy so primary crystals are used more later. Should I hold on to my primary crystals because I will need them later (maybe if monsters needs more primary crystals later)? Or should I just sell the excess primary crystals?
