QUOTE(Colman @ Jun 24 2015, 09:14) BTW, holy have similar damage output as elemental spells. The slightly lower mitigation do not really that useful.
Nope. Even with similar stats holy has much better damage. Besides that holy has higher edb and native counter-resist. For most ppl i d also add it has much closer 4s cd for t3.

An oak prefix of the suffix is stronger on paper, but is it strong enough to consistently get more first-turn kills, without having best-of-the-best gear? That's the deciding factor for me. Also, extra kills won't help if the remaining monsters are fast enough to hit twice to make up for their dead comrades. I don't have t3, but I can definitely feel the speed difference between elemental and t2 HD.
Edit: If it needs really good gear, it would feel like a waste to get it just to switch to elemental later on.

Holy has huge gap in sustain. So it doesnt rly work good for any cheap set. But many players buying heimdall gear even after patch: Charged L-0,3 (old) edb pants 6m Charged L+0,3 (old) edb robe 12.1m Oak heimdall staff L-0,4 mdb L+0,1 edb 12,1m So it has relatively low stats and big price. Sure charged is always expensive, but ordinary oak staff? For example this staff was sold for only 200k: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=f49b236df1Its P+0,27 mdb, P-0,2 edb and P-0,4 prof. Not so bad, right? But 200k.

There are only 2 people buying holy phase with high price so far. And compare with elemental phase with same quality, they are not that expensive. reference auction 1

Seems strange. Now that I think about it, where are the dark bids? Its 10% debuff is starting to sound useful when it comes to the speed issue. Does it not work at the higher levels? Say, using three or four phase instead of five?

Most of the mage using 3-4 phase now. 170%+ prof work better. Also, do not over estimate the power of 10% debuff. It normally cannot make the monsters die one turn earlier. It is only useful against boss+.

I was thinking that, if monsters will hit twice and those who die in one cast are getting overkilled, it would be worth dropping damage a bit for more defense. I only do random encouters and the first few arenas on pfudor so I never really looked into prof builds. I know skillchip made some graph when that patch first hit; does that still hold today?
Edit: Does counter-resist let you hit directly, or does it count against each of the three rolls individually? Wiki doesn't say.

It doesnt rly work that way.
Its more like ability to oneshot, kill in 2/3 and so on hits some % of all monsters. If you have lower damage than this amount gonna slightly drop anyway. This means more incoming damage and more turns.

My holy set kills lots of mobs on the first turn, however its bad for GF. There is no way to keep up on MP, even with unlimited potions, in later rounds of GF. The cast time for holy spells is long enough to get obliterated on the first round.
Not much changed this patch in regards to where Holy/Dark is useful. Holy/Dark is still much better than elemental at arenas.

Basically everything was buffed this patch. All ranges were increased. 'Unlimited' mana potions.
It just shows how brutal exponents can be in GF. Especially the turn speed.

But isn't that exactly why Charged Phases sell like hotcakes?

I unlocked Gold Star today, and something unexpected happened: Before getting the Gold Star, I had 38 Monsters in my Monster Lab. After I got the Gold Star, I discovered that I now have another 38 "Unlocked Slots" lying around in the Monster Lab!
So the part about Gold Star that says it "Doubles the Slots in Monster Lab" actually gives you another free slot for each one that you unlock? Till now, I was under the impression that it only increases the max slot limit.
I mean, now, if I Unlock 1 more slot, will I get another one for free? Or the "Double the Slots" was a one time effect?

From now on, unlocking a slot gives double slots.

I am curious, will you be making 38 new giants, or are other monster types worth it? Also, none of my monsters have gotten a kill in about 3 weeks. Is anyone else seeing the same thing? Note: I only have 5 monsters, so it is a small sample size.
