Wis. It actually can be quite important. 1600pl celestial with full chaos update has 18,9% resist. With 0 counter its almost each 2nd attack.

Why did the Legendary Charged Cotton Shoes of the Elementalist in Komica Island Auction #87 sell for 18.7M? I was under the impression that phase was worth more than cloth.
Also, that 55M finish on the Legendary Agile Shade Breastplate of The Shadowdancer was insane. I was under the impression that the most popular playing styles were Mage (fastest clearing speed) followed by 1H Power (balance between cost effectiveness and clearing speed). What advantage does 2H/DW/Niten have over Mage and 1H Power?

Dont forget the survivability, with high enough stats only void capable mage monster are a threat in arenas.

Its P+0,2 proficiency. Nice amount and thats very important for mages. Also it has prefix and crush mitg. I think even Lmax prof can be sold for 1-2m and thats better than even Pmax. That light also has insane stats, so some rich players was increasing price more and more.

Thats not worth more than good phase equivalent. Look at any P+ edb phase.

And thats not even close to old P-range. Same reason for light. Actually maybe they dont even gonna use it because light atm is weak, but its incredibly good roll and it has potential. Its not big difference compare to even Mmax, right? But think about it in a bit different way.

If person have 1m than he knows where to sell artifact for 11k and where same cost 10k.
If person have 10m than he doesnt rly care about something lower than 100k. Thats all fine.
If person have 100m than he doesnt rly care about something what worth only 1m.

And here we speak about ppl who have...maybe 1000m? Some can buy it because they want exclusive item.

(1) Removing the need to cast imperil is nice. Try maging at your current level, now imagine what happen when you're maging at over 400, you'll know what I'm talking about.

(2) Why not? I saw that you constantly played at PF everywhere. With your current gear, it will need a long time (are you on a leave?). It is a sound strategy to play at lower difficulty to save time. But, doing so with 1H is not optimal, hence the other style. This is more the case when you are at the point when you can start maging but will not be very efficient with it.

About why Agile Shade of Shadowdancer fetch such a high price, well, they rarely turn up. Combine good roll with rarity, price will be wild! Oh, and some time ago there is player who experimented with that rare prefixes. He compared the performance of agile shade set versus savage set (mind you, set!). I don't know if he also play around with reinforced shade set. If he did, well, it's amusing.

A mage with high proficiency - 1.8 to 2.0 or so - can clear lower difficulties without Imperil much more easily than someone who uses full Phase. That's what most prefer to do, because it means one can use SpellSpam instead of manual Imperil/target-Imperil/target-Imperil/target-T3.

Full Phase, used with Imperil, might be more efficient in terms of turns per round, when played on high difficulty (and less damage taken due to lower action speed of Imperil), but turns per second also takes a very sharp dive due to time required to press Imperil key and press target monster key. It's also much more tedious and you have to actually pay a good amount of attention instead of watching something in another window while playing.

So, most probably prefer to have 1 or 2 proficiency gears in addition to phase.

There's also rarity to take into consideration. Well-rolled L Phase is, at least now, relatively common. Any L Phase that drops for someone will likely have (0.81) M to L EDB, or higher... when before [Arena Clear Bonus! [Legendary Radiant Phase Shoes of Freyr]] EDB could well be terrible. L Phase of any element is probably a whole lot more likely than L cotton of Elementalist.

Elemental mages of every element who want prof have to share the same cotton Elementalist suffix, which itself is depressingly uncommon - so, since it drops so rarely but most want it - price is very high.

At least, that's my theory.

Most Plate, Leather, and Cotton is probably junk, with the exception of well rolled prof cotton and maybe Plate of Protection (Shielding hopefully). Rapiers of Slaughter/Balance are good, most everything else melee isn't, at least not in this patch. Rare tier gear is much more likely to be worthwhile, especially Power Slaughter. Maybe just post list.

As for my play time, I usually only run Dreamfall through The Trio and the Tree, some REs, and FSM while above 79 Stamina because those seven arenas give the best experience per round per hour and REs give the best equipment drops (four of my eight legendaries came from REs). I clear those arenas in roughly two hours using infusions and only run other arenas if I'm feeling frisky.
