yup. that's a really good price, even less than what you would pay for it in bazaar. back then when there was OFC fever, i was able to buy it for ~1.5M and still was a low price - back then ponies could reach even 90k

Shield is great - higher than 0.81 Mmax block. Rapier is nice too. Armor could be better but it's a cheap starting set so that's fine.

yup. seeing such a high block makes me think about downgrading my shield to a current mag one...

Mag Club of the Illithid
Mag Eth Rapier of the Nimble <- bound this around level 135 IIRC
and full Mag Leather ranging from lvl 133 to 170.

you can already start. for better results you'd need a high-block shield (i think force is still the way) and full power armors (i'd try with these new protection/warding types)

as for weapon, pre-patch rapier of slaughter (or maybe a new mag+ rapier of whatever) is highly suggested, but iirc you can start even with a shortsword (for parry) or a club (to make pair for less counter-stuns)

What do you mean with, when you should? You can use 1H any time you want.

as you know, 1H has best results with 200+ prof. raising it is quicker the more you level up, so it's not so wrong to make your way to lv200 with a set of whatever (personally i suggest to start with longsword + leather, and switching to mace + leather at a certain point) and then raising 1H prof with less efforts

Full slaughter at his level and without forging would be a bad idea, even before the update. With that level you care more about stay alive than deal damage, and im quite sure the evil plateau of monster strengh is still ahead of him.

iirc, i switched a bit past lv200. until then i opened my path with either 2H, DW and niten
