Yes, my elemental proficiency is practically at level cap. With my fire staff and proficiency cap, I have 0.45 prof factor, which should be 15% specific mitigation reduction if I did my sums right. And I play with imperil, so it should be total of 55% specific mitigation reduction. My ghetto fire mage set has just 400 magic score less than my ghetto dark mage set (plus regular staff), yet it subjectively felt much slower. Not sure why.

Elemental Mages are generally slower than Dark/Holy.

I feel like these soul fragment drops are taking away from my real drops, or are they separate?

Does it matter? From what I've seen, you'll whine "poor drop" even if you get Peerless Savage Slaughter. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Nope. Prof build can't lower mitigations below 0.

Ive also changed my last test a bit. And overall holy vs elemental time difference without cures and so on looks closer to 6-7%. Thats without higher channeling chance. It was reduced because actually we face many mobs with low pl. If its even 25 base, than 1k pl has no so much increase. And thats our ordinary mobs. So top range is important, but its not so common. We use additional turns, but only sometimes. So maybe elemental even faster, because it has lower action speed (and lower amount of cures?).
