With time you ll open more arenas and higher difficulty (its a bit better to play max possibly, because it increases quality of gear drops). But yea, if its finished you can try fest. Probably you wont clear many rounds, but you can do it over and over. Just be careful and dont die, because it reduce condition of equip quite badly.

QUOTE(wubbles1 @ May 26 2015, 21:38) Ok thank you!
If you guys want to play, what do you do? Grindquest?
When I run out of Arenas and Random Encounters I get antsy, haha. I wish there were more random encounters or something like that.
If you want to gain experience quickly, maybe do lots of PFUDOR low PXP item worlds. It'll be boring as hell and you'll get next to no credits, but if you have no more arenas to play and stamina isn't an issue, it's an option. Grindfest is more difficult, and is for players who can play through many many rounds.

Pxp means... some type of overall sum of all factors. It was changed a bit, so we got different ranges and specially for item without prefix/pab and so on.

ok, thank you for the clarity. Grindfest was getting to be overwhelming! I will do low level item worlds to get some quick exp. I tried researching and couldn't find a direct answer, do you get better loot on higher difficulties?

Yes. Im doing all arenas on pf and get usually at least 3 magnificent (but its all arenas up to 100 rounds). So you get higher credits drop, better gear. But also mobs have more hp and in credits/time ration its not the best way. But also you get more exp and its very important.

What are the recommended shield potencies? Or do they not really matter? I looked at a few people's shields and it seems like the most common one is Coldproof followed by Windproof: Colman m118w11 mozilla browser nobody_xxx TygerTyger. But this is such a small sample size that it's almost meaningless.

I can clear PFUDORfests without any just fine. It's just whatever people roll on their first IW run, I suppose.

For DW, a full set of shade armor(shadowdancer/fleet) or plate armor(protection/warding) will be better? Not consider power armor

go for the first one , you will get more defense from shade action speed and evade + resist (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I looked at a few people's shields and it seems like the most common one is Coldproof followed by Windproof: Colman m118w11 mozilla browser nobody_xxx TygerTyger. But this is such a small sample size that it's almost meaningless. Shields can only get the 6 elemental mitigations. You can look at [ hvlist.niblseed.com] jenga's monster db and the wiki to get an idea of the common elemental damage types. You can also do a sampling of the elemental damage that you actually get hit hard with (eg, those that are hard enough to do proc spirit shield). Conventional wisdom seems to be that there are lots of Celestials running around and 1h+power is weak to magic attacks, so Holy would be the top choice, imo. I'm not sure what's next. Perhaps Fire (for Dragonkin) or Dark (for Undead). Other monster types may choose between fire/cold/wind/elec, so maybe actual damage would be relatively evenly spread out. Due to the multiplicative nature of mitigations, it's preferred to concentrate your mitigations. ie, 20% mitigation in one piece is better than 4% of the same mitigation in 5 pieces. Even having said all that, I didn't bother too much with mine, I think.

QUOTE I mean lets say good mage has 150k credits/hour. If he lose even 10% speed than its 15k credits (150 pots or almost 3 each minute). Oh masters, at what level should I start expecting that kind of income? Oh my god, I'd do many things to be able to have that income. What difficulty setting/level should I aim for this? Right now, my 1hr income is barely 30-40k.

What difficulty setting/level should I aim for this? Right now, my 1hr income is barely 30-40k. 150k/hour...? I can't get very near that much, though I don't have crystal perks / do GF. (and I don't want to buy them and level-bind my nice gears and test it out) I think that's assuming the player is very very fast, as mage. Non-mages go much slower, and mages go a whole lot faster, on lower difficulties like Hell. That's one of the reasons you see top players often doing stuff like Hellfest as mage instead of higher difficulties or as melee. I wouldn't expect income like that before a high level (380+) and somewhat forged (~20) great equipment.

I'm currently using 1h/shield in light armor. Would I have an easier time in heavy armor? The wiki lists the 1h/shield build to wear heavy but I'm unsure how up to date that is.
Anyone here doing 1h/shield? curious what you're wearing.
