What to do with drop like Legendary Jade Cotton Robe of Protection? Its completely useless and i just collect it as some rare drop. QUOTE(clarkiest @ May 16 2015, 01:31) Whoaaa, hold your horse... What kind of equipment do you think will be needed to run all arena on PF?
Em....any 1h set? As i remember its easy to do on 300lvl. Tbh i cant clear it as mage with my current set (something like 4m overall price) and only iwbth is possibly, but with 1h its a bit longer and much-much easier.

At PFUDOR? No, it isnt. Not with "any 1H" i mean we are also talking about DwD 150 Rounds. Most of them with SG that will need a while to take down, meaning you need way more mana then any other Arena. And 1H isnt Mage with regard to Mana.

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ May 15 2015, 06:41) I posted about this before but I didn't see anyone respond:
As mage, is there anything to do if monsters are hitting harder than Cure can heal / Spark can activate? Eg., high PXP item world, and deep in GF? What I'm experiencing frequently: Imperil x2, Cure, Imperil, T3, Spark/Fullcure, T2, Cure again, T2 (maybe Spark activates again). Even though I'm down lots of spirit, the rest of the round is easy, assuming I don't get lots of unlucky resists and many monsters are still alive. Sometimes I have to Defend to get HP after Spark activates because all cures are on CD, so Spark activates again but at least I don't die - if I started with a high spirit pool. Frequently after I Cure, I take more damage than I've healed.
I don't see forging helping defenses much. A bit more evade and PMI will help, but probably not enough.
Maybe should my conclusion be that I should reliably have enough damage to kill most monsters after T3, else those left alive will inflict serious pain. Though I still take quite a lot of damage even when just using Imperil, which forging/damage perk won't help me with at all.
While these spells are never at the forefront of my mind, not too long ago someone mentioned that Sleep is pretty useful, and I suppose Confuse as well. Using both, you could take 6 monsters out of play, but I suppose the catch is you need to invest in Mind Control, and could get trolled by resists as well.

Didn't have the courage to make a search in here to find my answer, but it has to be already answered, so sorry for posting that question if you already answered it to someone else.
I was wondering on which primary attribute I should spend my experience points. I play as mage, I understand that it's not optimal to spend everything in strenght (just a bit for more spirit for Spirit shield). But should I spend a bit more in wisdom or intel, or should I keep them even ? How much less should I put in END and AGI.
As for now I'm at WIS 280, INT 280, END 260, AGI 200, DEX 200, STR 180. Is that sub-optimal ?

Well, im no mage, but i would suggest more AGI.

At level 300, 1h can easily clear all non-SG arenas on PF. They can do SG arenas too on PF, but it takes a very long time and isn't worth it anyway - just play SG on Hard or something for trophies. Wis = Int = Agi > End >> Dex >> Str probably. If you get higher agility you'll evade more. Actually I'm not sure if Str is worthwhile at all. Mage rarely uses Spirit Stance, right? Which means the only effect of more Str is higher base SP, which has no effect on spirit shield or Spark. PABs don't have much of an effect anyway when their exponential growth rate overshadows their proportions. Maybe stat X costs 5 times more than stat Y at some level, but when that difference translates into only +20 out of 300 (for instance), it's almost not even worth thinking about. This effect intensifies the higher your level.

Does anything here stand out as clearly bad or at my lvl is it not that big a deal? I am not clear on what proficiency should be at, currently I am doing randoms at battletoads using niten style as my weapons are more potent for that style, but doing arenas switching two hand/dual to build prof up. Do I need to work on the magic a bit more?

Do I need to work on the magic a bit more? I wouldn't use Niten at your level, since you gain no proficiency with it. Fighting style proficiency adds quite a significant amount of damage (and other stuff like crit/block etc) - without it, you're putting yourself at a serious disadvantage. Stick with a fighting style that gives you proficiency until your proficiency is at least close to your level. You might want to try 1h in preparation for the big hurdle that starts around level 150. (monsters start hitting much harder, and non-1h becomes much less viable) Still, it's up to you. Standard magic is unimportant for melee, except for Silence (which you get with Depreciating prof), and even then Silence is only really useful for heavy armor users past level 200. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I would disagree here, i never used silence. The only deprecating i used was weaken and imperil. It worked quite fine for me.

It depends on difficulty and battle series. On PFUDOR against powerful monsters like Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi and other sprites/celestials, I often Silenced them when I saw I wasn't going to be able to kill all the super-dangerous ones before their SP bars filled. It's also nice against FSM. Silence was also essential when I was trying to finish the PF SG arenas - Weaken didn't cut it, not with the crappy equipment I had back then. Though for more time-limited players who play lower difficulty, it's true that Silence isn't worth using, since you'll either kill everything dangerous before SP fills, or if SP does fill, they won't do enough damage to worry about.

Ye that's why i switch to two hand and dual other than the randoms, to gain some prof, I use Niten in randoms at battletoads for the bigger exp, I have what seem to be pretty nice weapons for it. *edit* Thanks for tha various tips folks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by Mrsuperhappy: May 16 2015, 02:06

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ May 16 2015, 04:26) I'm using elec.
Doesn't proficiency build take even longer to kill, in terms of action speed? Imperil is much quicker to cast than offensive spells, and I think prof/non-Imperil would take too long for monsters to start dying on IWBTH+. Proficiency build allow you to hit without imperil. So you may able to reduce the number of heal by one each round (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif). In addition, it slightly improve the cast speed. Which may lessen the need of heal slightly. BTW, what's your average turns/round when you have got trouble? I do not find any problem when IWing Leg equipment in IWBTH by holy set. Counts what you want to do survive more? VV. More damage? DD. More experience? CI.

I do not find any problem when IWing Leg equipment in IWBTH by holy set. 7 turns/round is the lowest I see on a semi-regular basis. 3 Imperil, T3, a Cure, T2, and a T1 on the last tanky/Resist monster. 11-12 is average; add another Cure or two, and add a T2 and a couple T1 on the stragglers. It can go up to 15+ if I get hit a lot and have to Cure lots or want to wait for Fullcure to come off cooldown (or for Cure to come off CD so I can get ~85%+ hp) before going to next round. I often ran out of all pots and died between round 70-85 in 94 round IW. (or I get hit by a few consecutive attacks and die earlier due to all Cures on CD/spirit pool too low after one Spark) I'll try Sleep/Confuse. QUOTE(TygerTyger @ May 16 2015, 05:03) Counts what you want to do survive more? VV. More damage? DD. More experience? CI.
The experience perks are actually pretty bad. It's more cost efficient to max Adept Learner before getting any of the perks, because the perks are additive, not multiplicative - as we recently learned. (And even then, the bonus is low. If you're already getting 400% experience, 425% isn't much different)
