QUOTE(orgolove @ May 13 2015, 05:18) Thanks again. It's difficult to tell what the value of a piece of gear is... is it 100 times the bazaar sell price? I don't see the correlation. Anything in the bazaar is trash thrown out by other players, and is almost always not worth using. There are a number of shops selling very cheap stuff for new players that are a much better source of gear. Bazaar value has very little to do with actual value. Almost all common-type armor is next to worthless, as is anything below Exquisite. Rapiers of Slaughter are very highly valued (50k-500k for decent Exq), but not much else is. The few people who DW / 2h / Niten want mainhand Slaughter and offhand Balance/Nimble; most other suffixes are complete trash, in the current patch. Piercing (PA) >> crushing (stun) >> slashing (BW). Ethereal or Hallowed adds quite a lot to value (and no weapon prefix = trash). Power Slaughter is incredibly strong and easy to use, but it's also very rare, so it's the most expensive type of armor for given quality. Shade and phase are worth somewhat less, due to the significantly higher threshold to entry. Gear value is based on supply and demand. Bazaar value is based on some combination of calculations of little relevance on less important stats for the piece of gear.

QUOTE(nec1986 @ May 13 2015, 08:46) Got this one in bazaar. A bit weird? http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=6043a9548aIts Emax mdb, Emax prof. It has no prefix, meaning that EDB is half of what it could be. That's a pretty significant disadvantage, and I don't think Exq-range stats elsewhere make up for it. Bazaar was not a bad idea IMO. Sell value could have been higher than value of salvage, since it's Mag-grade rare tier. Edit: though one could still put it in a shop and hope someone sees the Mag and buys it anyway. My staff also have no useful prefix and it still work well. BTW, nobody_xxx, what's your opinion of my force shield in compare with your (kite?) shield? I mean does the 2.5% block worth for lower stat in general? This post has been edited by Colman: May 13 2015, 11:24

I've been wondering for a bit for mages is it actually useful to spend ability points on staff accuracy and cloth accuracy? I'm currently at 140% without those but I don't really know how accuracy works on spells, I also have maxed all the recommended and useful abilities for a mage so just thinking about what I should do with my points after.

The more magic accuracy, the less you miss. 200% is ideal to completely counter enemy evade, but is difficult to get without top tier gear + forging. Since mages can only AOE, completely missing one monster can mean 20% additional turns required to finish the round (depending on difficulty/damage). So you really really want to hit all monsters every time. It's worth it. Physical accuracy is good as well, if you play battle series where you need to Tap.

Which type of equipment should should I be getting when I shrine my trophies? I have been going for 1H weapons, but is one type more profitable than others?

stats with my leg kite shield stats with your mag force shield main difference thing is mana cost for me in PFU DwD run (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) other than that , nothing much difference in arena (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) QUOTE(Scremaz @ May 13 2015, 18:44) other IW then. hurray! =.=
good luck (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Shop sell price is always 1/5th of shop buy price but player-to-player price is the true worth and that worth there's no way to tell other than: - being very experienced and following the market - or asking players who are. AFIK shop prices are determined automatically by stats, quality, condition, and prefixes and suffixes.

I think, anything is fine... it won't give something that good afterall, maybe the same equip type you could salvage for materials? --- Is spending 200k is worth it to upgrade this with this? I do have the money, but the parry bonus makes me reluctant to buy it... 200k is a pretty big money for me after all (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Or... should I keep my money and self IW this instead? QUOTE(orgolove @ May 13 2015, 09:26) Great, thanks. I'll save my stamina for monster crystals then.
If you have already played all the Arenas available to you (which is the recommended thing to do), and you are simply considering whether to grind away at Grindfest or Item World, I think it doesn't hurt to level up your equipment a bit. Without the Crystarium perks, you wouldn't be able to maximise crystal drops at Grindfest anyway. Might as well get a few % of specific mitigation (especially if you are playing heavy, which is weak to magic). Just don't expect to IW all the way to level 10, and don't bother reforging / resetting the item world potencies unless it is a really good item.

Unless you get extraordinarily extraordinarily lucky, you'll never find anything worthwhile by shrining unless you shine thousands. It's better to sell them to those with FoS for a guaranteed moderate amount of profit, than gambling on shrine and likely losing. I don't think it's worth it. Your arctic one is OK but I think you could find a better one for less than 100k. If you're going to IW to 10 then I'd look for something in the 300k-500k price range, any prefix (otherwise the IW cost, or opportunity cost, will much outweigh the equipment's base value)
