not sure if its the correct thing to do
and btw should i also cast dark spells?
because they get debuff saying they get more damage from dark spells

my proficiency in divine is about 7 now. so preety far from tier 3 spells

Hands link is same as chest link...

Pants and shoes are wrong type - you either need cotton prof to reduce resists, or holy phase. (fire phase is not the right type)

But before any of that, you need more proficiency for T2 and hopefully T3 - grind proficiency using the Crude IW mentioned while watching anime in the other 4/5ths of your screen. No attention required, and a couple hours later your prof will be much higher. Once you have access to at least T2 at 100 prof, things will be easier. Don't judge how well maging works before then (and even then, preferably wait until T3).

When you do have enough proficiency and begin thinking about getting non-Bazaar equipment, look for [3 PAB + decent evade] Smax Edb Phase or Emax prof Heaven-Sent. Should be very cheap, 100k or less for all. (Opportunity cost for time spent is much higher than cost of equipment) Existing staff is great.

maging is relatively difficult until lvl 310 w/ max imperil. What you're doing is ether tapping, which is really useful to last longer if you see yourself running out of pots too fast. Also you can cast drain on monsters afflicted by soulfire to get more mana.
No need to cast dark spells. You should just focus on holy and do massive damage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Your staff is really good and will last you for a while. Once you get the funds, start by replacing your armor with 3pab phase of heimdall. You can also opt for adding 1 or 2 legendary pieces of cotton armor of the heaven-sent (shoes are the best for this) and shouldnt be too expensive.

I'm pretty damned sure melee stuff is waayyy cheaper than 9m per piece, I gotta say. Unless you tried to get it through the lotteries.

Your phase set is just mag and cost at most 1m apiece nowadays. Leg phase without the 4 good prefixes is rather cheap too, 5m at most.

I wonder if the cotton price rise has anything to do with me buying out leg cotton/goss 2 months ago. Back then, LMax went for 2m top (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I find it funny how people refer to 1m+ amount as "Cheap", when most of the players barely reach that amount after playing their asses off.

The idea is that, if you haven't got to the point where 1m is cheap, you're better off not touching phase. The first 5 upgrade on a single piece already costs that much

Getting 1m in the 3 days payment period is not hard.
On the other hand, anything 5m+ is not cheap............all the gears I want is in that range.

But my calculations suggested that you'd need to forge three pieces of cotton at Mmax proficiency to approach 1.0 proficiency factor, and that's just too much loss in EDB. So although I have previously bought Mmax proficiency cloth, I now think they are not worthwhile.

imo, it depends. if you're going for 200% prof build for no imperil, a maxed forged prof staff + a slightly over Mmax prof robe (maxed forged) will get you to 200%. that way you'll still have 4 phase for EBD. or you can get a close to Lmax prof pants + prof staff, both maxed prof forged. if you factor in Divine Warmage perk, you might have more options, but i haven't done the math yet.

Forging is a different story altogether. I'm more interested in the absolute peak of limits for unforged Mage. If you're in the forging business, no amount of Credit is ever enough.
Unforged Mages are also good. And even though Forging is better, it's not for everyone.

You're missing the point. Generating credits require time if you're not a H@H runner. Most people can't generate "1m in 3 days" if they are not H@H runner, or doesn't have a mini army of monsters. I'm counting Crystarium Perks out of equations, since they require Credits to begin with! Grinding for raw credits will not yield 1m in 3 days.
