Okay so I just beat A Dance With Dragons for the first time on battletoads and I wanted to figure out how the title works or if it is worth using. The wiki doesn't say if you get the bonuses that come with Godslayer along with the Fus Ro Dah. Anybody in this thread ever use it?

The EXP requirement increases as you level up so it can take quite a long time to level up as you approach the level cap. The battles themselves actually get easier.

I always using it for clearing hellfest in the past with my 2H estoc + heavy armor (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Do you want to use it for raising proficiency, or for actually fighting effectively? (for which you need phase as well)

If proficiency, I'd wait until you're a higher level if you want access to T3, since prof gain chance is quite low when prof gets close to your level. Even then, the spells aren't going to help you much unless you actually play as mage with phase. The exception is Dark for Disintegrate/Corruption / Spirit Theft, which starts being useful at level 300.

which set are you using? i can play REs with relative ease even with my DW shade set (rapier + waki - 10 mobs and maximum 1 potion needed if i don't use OFC)

if you only want to raise prof, imo staff is quite a burden because of ether tap chance. i found cotton armors very effective: no need to raise your EDB, only equip those with the highest WIS you can find and go with spellspam. for a bit of safety you may want to try shortsword/waki + buckler. dagger with WIS may be even better

you may try with the specific kind of proficiency you're training, but it's not so important afterall. only care about high WIS. also evade chance, if you really want, but mostly WIS - since you want the biggest MP pool possible to cast more spells. whenever you should approach the cap, you may want to switch to shade of arcanist to have a bit more ITR

I've seen mention of void mages in the past but in passing it was said they are very expensive to do. I'm guessing they are based on the pony set attack, and are expensive due to needing the perk as well? Currently running holy so I'm mostly just curious, doubt I could do it soon.

Unrelated: Have a hard time thinking of posts for daily count but throwing around idea of starting translation. Do posts/replies in the bounties page (not the thread- I know that would count) count as posts? I believe they get deleted once the bounty is finalized so I 'm guessing no.

After having spent many many hours on proficiency, I think it's better to use melee weapon + heavy or light armor. Unless 10k is too much of a budget, which it shouldn't be, buy 1500 heroic mana potions, and use up your mana as quickly as possible.

It's true that it'd be more mana-efficient in the long run to use cotton/Wisdom armor, but given that prof grinding takes many many hours, and given that potion cost is negligible compared to the opportunity cost of those hours spent, I'm pretty sure heavy armor is better for prof grinding.

Also, don't use haste, or you may be casting too fast for mana replenish to give you enough per player turn to keep casting. No need for any constant spells other than Regen (fight in low PXP item world).

I don't understand. Orbital Friendship Cannon does damage based on attack damage, not magic damage (and it's not like there's phase that gives Void EDB). OFC is for melee, not mage.

If you're looking for the posting bonus, I have a feeling that less substantive posts would be best suited for General Chat / Free Speech Zone.

don't really know whether there actually was void mages, but imo they would be expensive because ot the huge demand, since it will soon become the best element available.
surely not relies on OFC, since it needs overcharge and only melee can build it proficiently

I d say only 1h. All other styles doesnt get much from it.
