Eh, does it matter? Leg leather is cheap you shot for the best one out there. Peerless leather is rare you take what you can get your hand on.

crushing resistance can be already high to begin with and there's always resist, so i'd say 2 or 3.
surely 3 for low-levels who don't have to meet magical attacks as often as godslayers

They're perceived as bad drops and people who got tons of them either bazaar them or don't even put them up for sale. I for example have these lying around and catching dust in my inventory. I only put the 2 charged cotton on sale, with rather exorbitant price because god knows when it suddenly becomes viable

I don't get why people want to sell their stuff at all. When I get a piece of good gear I can use, I recycle the old gear to recover the materials and enhance the new one. When I get some good gear I can't use, I destroy it: if I can't use it I don't see why anyone else should.

If everyone only used what they found, it would be a whole lot difficult for everyone to play anywhere near the difficulty / speed they're playing at now. The ability to trade is probably the only reason players under 400 can make decent complete gear sets.

If you can't use something, you might as well trade it to someone else who wants it and get credits out of it - and then eventually buy that great upgrade that you'd never be able to get otherwise. It's not like the only two options are to salvage it or to give it away for free (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Selling is after you have already completed all the sets. People normally sell the weaker one only, besides those relatively new players that need credit for training.

for leather i'd say yes, because it would go to fix leather's natural weakness. but obviously, if you can put your filthy hands on full reinforced leather of protection with low BUR, that will be the top. or maybe a hybrid reinforced/agile, not sure (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

though, imo, i still think Full Leg Leather Protection is better than 4x Protection +Deflection. this is my defense stats for non-forged full Leather Protection. all leather items are in my signature and none of them are Lmax. one of them are not even Mmax. though, my PMI is already 73.9% unforged. probably can reach 80% PMI for better Leather + medium forge. maybe 85%PMI is possible. though, i would love someone to actually do the math on it.

also, note that most Leather has <7 burden, so you can easily achieve 0 Burden for a "cheap" 10% evade bonus.

ps. the first 2 stat i've a staff equip, so if you equip a rapier or 2H, your parry% will be better.

just did a try myself: used 4 M-range protection pieces + 1 L PMI-range warding and had:

72.1% physical mitigation
63.9% magical mitigation
36.8% evade chance
0% block chance
71.5% parry chance
50.8% resist chance

not-so-different from yours. gap in parry is due to a parry-oriented DW set.

Light (5-10) forge. Most of the piece are random piece without checking their PMI. In fact, I have a few better pieces in reserve. Will IW them and renew my set when I have the mood to play HV again.
