QUOTE(pigowallace @ Mar 1 2015, 15:45) Damn... the 0.82. I should have wait :S
mind you, 'less trolly drops' doesn't absolutely grant that there would be more usable items. it's only that worse than this... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE(EsotericSatire @ Mar 1 2015, 17:08) Who knows what will happen in the next patch. Maybe everything clear equal speed.
Balancing will happen in the patch after the upcoming one. No hurry. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) QUOTE(Scremaz @ Mar 1 2015, 18:36) as above, i really prefer a savage power of slaughter against a plate of dampening, albeit peerless (otherwise i would've wasted 300k on an auction (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ). feel free to prove me wrong, but switching from one to another would mean essentially: -360 ADB / -3.3 ACC -1% crit chance / -3% crit damage +2.6 PMI / +1.6 MMI +21 holy mit / +8 crushing / +4 piercing +400 HP so, basically 7% less damage for a bit of mitigations. is it worth? Depends. For Grindfest, every bit of stat matters. For Arena, Firepower is everything. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE(pigowallace @ Mar 1 2015, 18:40) I won 2 tickets from the toplists. What I should do with them? Danixxx shop or try my luck?
FYI, I buy those toplist tickets for an average of 50k from a certain player on monthly basis. You could have sold me those two for 100k. But looks like you've already shrined them... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Hello experts. I have a few questions, and seeing as almost all other thread starters are redirected here to ask, I decided to come here directly.
1. Is there a way to keep track of Grindfest/Arena rounds without counting them manually? Grindfest has 1000 rounds, is there some current round # displayed for Grindfest/Arena anywhere while playing?
2. I believe I've done everything needed to activate my monster (It's PL 31, I have both named and fed it), but is there something else I must do, some button I'm missing, for it to start battling? Can I see how many battles it has fought? There is apparently a system message to notify of gifts? I haven't had my monster for more than a day, perhaps they don't bring gifts very often. The Wiki doesn't say much other than that they automatically bring gifts after a 72 hour gift drought.

1. See the bottom line in the battle log. Or, use HVstat/ HVstat_light script. 2. Nothing. No. No. It will give you gift from time to time, when you check it.

1. yes. at the start of every round it says the point you reached. you can also use a script like hvstat slim, but most likely it will works only on firefox or chrome 2. no, it will automatically appear randomly, even though chances are really low since the pool of low-PL mobs is very big. you can't see how many battles it fought, only how many it won. gifts will obviously be notified to you, but most likely you will see them only every two days. btw, apart from mobs, did you name also their skills, didn't you?

Thank you! I guess what I meant was number of battles during Grindfest, not rounds within battles, as rounds are obviously displayed within the log. I will check up on the scripts, I hadn't thought of that. Edit: Oops, yes now I can see at the bottom [Initializing Grindfest ( Round 3 / 1000) ...] This post has been edited by iactuallyusethisfor: Mar 1 2015, 19:54

Yes indeed, I read that on the Wiki. Apparently they won't use the skills until the skills are named.

Don't worry if you don't see many (or any) battles won or killing blows - before PL ~500, the vast majority of your gifts will be coming from the automatic 3-day gift mechanism rather than from battles. High PL Monster lab investments are very expensive take a long time to pay off, so anyone under level ~350-400 will be likely better off using their income to buy better gear rather than monster lab - but PL 25-50 monsters are fine since they're so cheap.

How do I get mid-grade metals? I'm rank 40 now, and so far none of them have dropped. Salvaging the few weapons that drop only leads to scrap metal, and I only see scrap in the store.

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/The_Forge#SalvageSalvage exquisites. If you really have something worthwhile enough to forge, then usually it's easiest to buy materials from other players - but I'd hold off on that until at least level 150 or so, so you have a better understanding of the game before spending quite a bit of money.
