QUOTE(coreguy @ Jan 14 2015, 17:35) Do weapon stats increase as player level increases?
I see dmg and pab stats increase a bit compared to a few levels ago.
They do scale with level. But not for long... Patch 0.82 is coming, and it will not be pretty. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) For details on 0.82, read from here. This post has been edited by Dan31: Jan 14 2015, 18:41

QUOTE(showoff @ Jan 14 2015, 10:51) thanks for the information provided, i learnt a lot from the example! May i ask what should i look at when i play with 1H+shield? Can u give some example like the staff one to guide me towards a better way? Here is my equipments: Exquisite Wakizashi of SlaughterAverage Kite Shield of ProtectionExquisite Plate Helmet of DampeningExquisite Mithril Power Armor of BalanceExquisite Ruby Plate Gauntlets of ProtectionExquisite Shielding Plate Greaves of WardingExquisite Shielding Plate Sabatons of StoneskinNow im just finish all the arena at Normal level to get the rewards, is it a right way or i should try with a harder mode to get more rewards? PS: I can handle at least Hell one but take me too long time... THANKS AGAIN ANYWAY!! Your links are broken. Still, without looking at the exact stats: for your weapon, you should aim for a prefixed weapon with a good amount of damage. Waki is good for offhand in DW with high parry / attack speed / accuracy, but it has terrible damage and the Slashing proc is unimportant, so it's not a good choice for main or solo weapon. Once you start playing on higher difficulties and get closer to 200 you might want a rapier (penetrated armor is great against tough enemies), but good rapiers cost a ton. If you don't want to spend a lot or if you're going to keep playing Normal, your best weapon for clear speed would probably be an Ethereal axe/club (high damage but no parry or PA) of Slaughter. A weapon prefix of "Ethereal" or "Hallowed" or at least something is important because the extra strike will significantly increase your damage. Block is very important for 1h. A force shield will give you significantly better block as well as less burden (more critical hits). If you're playing on Normal, you really don't need to worry about Shielding armor because you're not going to die. Power armor will let you clear faster with no increased risk. QUOTE Now im just finish all the arena at Normal level to get the rewards, is it a right way or i should try with a harder mode to get more rewards? PS: I can handle at least Hell one but take me too long time... Depends what you value and how much you think you might play in the future. If you just play HV for the credits then the few thousand you'll get from arena clear is all you need. If you want to be able to clear more quickly / play higher difficulties / get good equipment drops in the future, then you need experience, and for experience, you should play on whatever difficulty level you can manage now. You'll gain a whole lot more experience per time on Hell or Battletoads or whatever even though each fight takes longer - if you stay on Normal it'll take ages to see any progress.

you're scared, but it seems to me that almost all goldstars and catgirls posting there are literally wetting themselves (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) This post has been edited by Scremaz: Jan 14 2015, 19:31

It sounds like an interesting way to keep the game progressing for those already at a high level, even if those who've spent tens of millions before now will be quite pissed. Anyone know what sort of timetable there is for HV updates? He says he's working on it, but I only came here recently and don't know if that might mean "maybe a few weeks" or "6 months" or something else.

yup. also, i can't really understand if this situation is good for shoprunners in these days prior the upgrade or not. nobody knows. one day you wake up, HV is offline, e-hentai says in main page that an update will be available within a few hours and that's all

It is done when it is done. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) But i dont think 10bo would say something and would keep us waiting for 6 months. So i guess, a few weeks maybe two months. All information is subject to change. This post has been edited by Stulpen: Jan 14 2015, 19:47

yes. that's a normal reaction. but the unknown may also be interesting, maybe thrilling QUOTE(Stulpen @ Jan 14 2015, 18:47) Now i really wish i did keep my DW Shade set.
did you sell it? you did a big mistake, uncle stu. one should always keep a backup set of everything to be prepared for every change. the fact that i currently play 1H didn't mislead me to sell my DW/2H/shade sets: i still use them to reduce the repair cost of my main set when on lower difficulties i only want to grind tokens. oh, and i also own a backup 1H, tbh (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) QUOTE(Stulpen @ Jan 14 2015, 18:47) It is done when it is done. Ideally, use a Hallowed/Ethereal/Demonic Rapier of Slaughter + Force Shield with high block + Power armor set (with maybe a good shielding plate piece with high PMI/MMI/END). Penetrated Armor is just too important for dealing damage. The shield's block is very important as well since it accounts for a large part of your defense. Power armor helps boosting the otherwise weak attack damage of 1H. Get that, and you will clear rounds way faster than now.

Well the few part that was worth something, yes. At that time, it seemed to be better to get another LotD. QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jan 14 2015, 21:01) Dont tell me you play still normal on you level. This post has been edited by Stulpen: Jan 14 2015, 20:02

Thanks for the suggestion, i will check the link tmr since i hv no computer right now, although it may not necessary... I think i better look for a rapier that i can afford(maybe after the new patch release, the price will drop:S)

showoff apparently prefers to, that's why I was thinking that expensive rapiers might not be a good cost-efficient choice for him.
