How are fractions handled?
Are they - handled precisely internally, but rounded off for display - individually rounded off - all added up and finally rounded off?
For example, my magic points are affected by innate arcana, the actual spell used, mana conservation, mana pot, ether tap. Some of the percentages may look very low, eg. mana conservation of 1.31% - does that actually become negligible, or is the benefit still felt even if it is not seen?

It used to show the decimals: "Spirit shield cost 19.22 points" but it was removed for brevity. You will get a benefit, but whether 1.3% will effect your performance is a different story.

QUOTE(Scremaz @ Dec 20 2014, 19:55) HV counter plus
Thanks. QUOTE(Dan31 @ Dec 20 2014, 22:12) Try with Greasemonkey?
Well, Equipment Comparison does work with Greasemonkey, but somehow HV STAT does not, so I have to have both GreaseMonkey and Scriptish. Strange. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Do what I did, just download chrome (Iron specifically) and just use that browser for HV. Nearly all the scripts have a chrome version and installing is just drag and drop. Some say it is streamlined more for chrome than FF and I did feel a speed increase when switching from FF to Chrome for HV. This post has been edited by SPoison: Dec 21 2014, 05:34

(IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/PIrMN2O.jpg) Hello, anyone can help to enlighten me about these abilities under "elemental"? It says to increase the maximum number of targets that a spell can hit (3->4), however, every time I still only hit 3 targets...

How do people raise their hp by so much? Is it by getting endurance bonuses on all gear with all gear being mag+ or is their something I'm missing? I have all the light armour bonuses and HP tank but still only have 6k hp on lvl 202 with 279 effective endurance.

By the way, I recommend that you reset all of those and only choose one element to focus on, in addition to Sorcery, Elementalism, and Archmage as they become available.

Why? Abusing pets give better results? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) BTW What IW results are considered good on a weapon? Butcher>Fatality/Swift Strike? How about Overpower? Just want to know a bit more, other than ignore everything except hollowforge... This post has been edited by colosseum_guy: Dec 21 2014, 08:30

Generally, Butcher and Fatality for main hand, Fatality for offhand, Overpower if you don't have stun or counter-resist with your style, maybe Swift Strike if you use light armor (especially with Estoc/FUS ROH DAH so you can generate enough OC to recharge FRD while mobs are stunned). Don't IW a weapon without a strike, they are generally not worth the effort.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Believe it or not, for me if they go under 50% and change color, they do bring nice stuff. Like yesterday an ox and a DMM and some high wood. Yes, if i abuse them a bit usually bring back some good results. I posted 2 times on the What your monsters brought thread, i think it's called like that or simillar, and those results were after a bit abuse (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE(Dan31 @ Dec 20 2014, 18:52) Keep obsolete weapons (Fine/Flimsy quality, Gossamer/Kevlar/Shield armor, scythe, etc.) though.
and send me a list, just in case (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) QUOTE(Dan31 @ Dec 20 2014, 21:45) Isn't the maintenance cost of Magnificent the same as the one of Exquisite? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Plus, the maintenance cost is still cheap overall, provided you repair at 80~76 or 60~51% durability. i guess with 'maintenance cost' he also includes the higher-tier catalysts needed to upgrade a stat QUOTE(Zaesha @ Dec 20 2014, 22:32) Question: are the Protection elemental upgrades really worth it? Do their spike damage increase with higher proficiency in their element (like, i have weapons with +15 Wind Damage, do Wind Spikes do more damage as well?)
furthermore, can you really see them changing somewhere? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) i don't see any difference in my stat between slotting all the APs and not doing it QUOTE(colosseum_guy @ Dec 21 2014, 07:20) BTW What IW results are considered good on a weapon? Butcher>Fatality/Swift Strike? How about Overpower? Just want to know a bit more, other than ignore everything except hollowforge...
it depends on what style you use: as dan said, fatality is a nice stat for almost everything, butcher is nice for every mainhand and overpower/swift for offhands. 1H can benefit of butcher and fatality, all the other are almost useless, so either a 4/5 or a 5/4 combination of these two is good enough. but don't lose your sleep on this, once you reach one of these two target (personally i'd say fatality) focus on the IW10 potency rather than reset 2H can benefit of fatality, but many say to prioritize overpower over butcher, i guess it is because damage is already high. maybe fatality, overpower and butcher? DW can benefit of fatality (can you imagine 4/5 levels on both weapons? it would mean +16~20% crit damage (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) and overpower; plus, consider mainhand as 2H, so the question is again between overpower and butcher. offhand may still need overpower and also swift, but surely butcher is useless in this case

This is because you need to cast Protection first. And you can't do that out of battle.

I saw that people did shrining results, like shrined 1000 staffs from noodly or horn and so. But did someone a result like shrining voicebox and compare how each equipment targets differ? I shrined yesterday all my trophy. targeted 1H and staff. and there was 1 significant result that made me think of this. Inone instance 1 shrined 500 something, 250 1H and 250 staff. And i did get in the 1H only scrap, 3 or 6 prefixed superior items and an avarage wakizashi, but in the staff i got significantly more usable items like 10 exquisites. So the question is, did someone made a comparison in which tried to figure out which trophy has a higher chance to get better 1H, 2H, staff or any other equipment? I quess Noodly is an overall joker, but perhaps the rest can be influenced?
