Someone suggested this happens at PL1000+. Which, at 88 packs is about 6m credits in purchased crystals or opportunity cost.

It's really hard to say, I have 1 at ~1080, and one at ~960, and I'm getting around twice the gifts from the higher one, but it also has more chaos token upgrades.

I would recommend getting a ton of ~200PL (banking on bindings/rare mats), then concentrate on upgrading one or two to be strong (banking on HG mats).

QUOTE(mozilla browser @ Dec 19 2014, 14:23) *

Do they really produce 6m credits worth of gifts subsequently?

Well you will get something like 10k/day (made this number up), so eventually it will pay itself off, then after that you are basically getting free money. Or with this made up number it is effectively an investment with a 80% interest rate (ask your bank for this and see what they say).

Well as we are on Monster Lab subject:

Is there a preference for choosing Monster Class (what is usually popular monster and why)?

i guess it really depends on the level of your targets: if you aim for mid-high level players (which means PL>1000 or so), you'd better go for celestials or other stronger magical-type creatures, since they usually go with 1H and heavy armors are weak against magical attacks. for mid-level players maybe strong physical types like giants and arthropods to take advantage of their high END? if you don't think to upgrade them too much and just want a monster farm (PL<200, as m118 suggested), every type is good...

Yeah. At max Scavenger, Luck of the Draw, and Quartermaster, you tend to walk away with about 250k after completing all of the arenas on PFUDOR and selling all of the junk loot. You can get quite a bit more if you also take the time to sell the Artifacts (or Energy Drinks) you find and high-grade materials you get from salvaging common-class junk magnificents and legendaries.

Sounds nice.
Btw. As i remember i should sell <A equip and salvage A and higher?

More like the opposite, and even then it's not exactly it. The general idea is to sell if what you get from salvaging is worth less than the bazaar price.

QUOTE(Dan31 @ Nov 27 2014, 18:08) *

The basic thing to do is: salvage if the value of the mats you get by salvaging is higher that what you get from selling it, sell otherwise.

Salvaging an average (or below) gear gives an amount of scrap equal to roundup(bazaar_value/100). For example, if you salvage an equipment with a bazaar value between 101c and 200c, you will get 2 scraps. Scrap cloth and wood are the only ones with a good value on the market (90+ credits each). For Metal and Leather... only salvage if you need them for repairs.

Salvaging a superior (or above) gear gives an amount of scraps equal to roundup(bazaar_price/500), plus a graded mat depending on the quality: low grade for superior, mid grade for exquisite, high grade for magnificent or above. As the amount of scrap you get is reduced, you will usually salvage if the sell value is under the value of the graded mat + 1 scrap.

The type of material you get depends on the gear type:
- One-Handed, Two-Handed, and Heavy Armor gives Metal
- Staff and Shield gives Wood
- Cloth Armor gives Cloth
- Light Armor gives Leather

For the respective values of graded mats, search the WTS section or look up the prices of the bazaar bot. Low grade mats should be worth about 100~200c each, mid grade mats about 600c each, and high grade mats are about 3k for Metal, 2k for Leather, 8k for Cloth and 10k for Wood.

If you are lazy: just salvage average- staff/shield/cloth, plus average- gear that gives you scraps you need for repairs, and sell the rest.

Metal scrap is kinda useful, you may see demand for it at 85c/ea.

After some experimenting it seems like the biggest advantage to DW compared to 2h other than more flat damage is the ability to have a much higher parry chance, attack speed, as well as being able to have 2 Hallowed instead of just one for boosted healing. My defense has improved by an incredible amount, although I do miss the clearing speed of Domino Strike.

I'm still trying to decide if the -3.2% evade from a Hallowed mainhand is worth the Holy bonus compared to Ethereal. I'm leaning towards yes because a consistently stronger Cure will always help, but you can't always count on Evade if you get unlucky. Also, ~15% stronger Cure healing sounds much better than ~3% reduced average damage taken. Once I have a couple more Juggernaut upgrades I'll always be able to take full advantage of the increased healing when I cast Cure.

Maybe once my proficiencies are high enough I should try Niten if I find a good katana so I can DS again.

just saying, why not going with an ethereal + a forged-holy-EDB hallowed? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
also, which combo are you using? club + rapier? rapier + waki?

I was thinking about that, but getting a forged-holy-EDB hallowed up to a level where I would even be able to notice a difference is way more than I can afford ATM unfortunately. I'm sure I'll forge upgrade eventually, I just don't have any funds now. (I also don't want to up PXP until after I have a few levels I want from IW - the more potency, the stronger IW mobs, the tougher it is to IW level, right? It seems annoying to have to wait to forge but that's how it is)

Even if I did forge, the calculations would still be pretty similar, right? With 250% base hp, much better to have 150% heal than 125% heal, unless you don't think you're going to use the weapon for long and don't bother with Hollowforged.

Haven't decided yet, but I'm probably going to go for axe + nimble waki unless someone convinces me otherwise (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(Also, wouldn't a non-axe non-club mainhand be pretty bad for damage? If you're melee-based of course)

uh... i use this rapier every now and then which has 23.5 holy EDB at my level, thus a +23% cure bonus, and i can grant you it's very unlikely that i need more cure than that. i'd really go for two different strikes if i was you, maybe mainhand ethereal and offhand hallowed since usually offhand weapons have lower BUR

dual BW? better to differentiate, try a rapier of slaughter for mainhand and you'll see how bad(ass) is you damage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
oh, you can actually keep a waki of nimble as offhand, sure...

Now that I look at the stats more closely I think I get it: the additional accuracy/parry chance can make up for the lower flat damage of a rapier, as long as its base damage isn't too low.

Also, I like its very descriptive name. "Hallowed Full IW Mainhand Rapier." Ha.

actually it's for the PA chance and void damage, once you get them 100 or even 200 ADB don't have a big relevance...

The bid is the price you set in item bot shop.

To sell, just go to the item shop. You will get additionnal credits equal to half of the highest bid. But you might want to sell to other players instead.

Hi there, I have two questions about scripts.

1. HV Equipment Comparison is not working for me. I am using Firefox, I have installed Scriptish and I have switched to a custom font. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

2. I saw someone using a script that sums up the time spent , credits & exp earned upon completion of an arena. Does any know the name of that?

Thanks~

I use HV Item Manager 1.2 by holy_demon. Lets you search by typing in stuff.
Pretty much dump everything below exquisite (unless very good exq ethereal rapier of slaughter, power of slaughter with max damage roll). Rare tier equipment repair and sell, otherwise just sell.
