why not 1h from start? get proficiency earlier and even without counter strikes still good.

because at low levels 2H is a bit more effective and way cheaper imo

Was wondering if anybody could help me decide what to with my stats at my LVL. Up until now I've been trying to keep my stats more or less even. So far I'm going 2H with full heavy armor. Any tips at all are very much appreciated (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

At your level, everything should be alright.
At higher level, you will find heavy armor is bad for defense. So most of the heavy user go for 1H.
2H better go with light.

For stats, even distribute is popular. It work all the way to level 500.

You can keep using 2H plate until 2xx level.
The tough monsters only come when reaching level 2xx @ PF, or level 3xx @ hell.

e.g.: You will meet PL1300 monster:
- level 32x @ normal
- level 29x @ hell
- level 20x @ PF

Thought i'd ask for a bit of advice since i just reached lvl 100.

I'm going melee with Niten Ichiryu style, stats and weapons are the following (i don't know how to directly link weapons so i took screenshots)

What shall i improve? Should i take time to grind some 2h/DW proficiencies to better use Niten?

Also i never improved weapons through item world, just some upgrades in the forge (not many because materials are scarce); should i bother or it's better done at higher levels?

Your proficiency for 2H/DW is quite low so it's probably too early for you to use Niten.

There's no point in IWing at your level. It gets much easier at higher levels and you are likely to find better gear later on.
