QUOTE(Colman @ Dec 9 2014, 22:59) Me, for example, I use holy set with prof factor 2.0 and I only use imperil on boss+ monster.
wat do u think about "magnet + 5 phase" vs "no magnet + 3phases 2 cottons" as a holy mage?

No idea, I only use magnet in TTT. BTW, cotton is for stable damage but not for high peak damage. If you are going to use all debuff, 5 phase always give higher output. Forgot to mentioned in the previous post. Mage at my level+ mostly weight WIS >= END > AGI >> INT This post has been edited by Colman: Dec 9 2014, 17:35

Yeah, exactly. I ask this cuz wannaf says: 3、for x20 dwd 5 phase holy/dark is best holy/dark mig=0 means much more dam than element. you still need imp to decrease the mmi and magnet for 100%counter-resist. so cr and dep prof here is useless.silence or weaken is useless too when your defend is enough. LHKD OR LDKD +5radiant phase is the best choise.
and i really want to see the comparison btwn 5+0 vs. 3+2 from a holy mage's (like you) point of view. (idk if he has a holy set) QUOTE(Colman @ Dec 9 2014, 23:30) Forgot to mentioned in the previous post. Mage at my level+ mostly weight WIS >= END > AGI >> INT
What if all the pieces have Jug3~5? Coz i think magic score is important... This post has been edited by djackallstar: Dec 9 2014, 17:39

For normal grinding, I use 4+1 with prof staff. It is because I do not need to look at the monsters' debuff icon so I can watch anime when playing HV. 5-10% less turns and mp/sp mean nothing to me if I cannot multi-task. P.S: I am not playing recently. Only browse the forum daily. QUOTE What if all the pieces have Jug3~5? Coz i think magic score is important...
The effect of INT on damage output is rather low when you have more INT. You may prefer 1 less heal per 10 rounds. This post has been edited by Colman: Dec 9 2014, 17:43

Full Phase is faster for regular Arenas only. While Proficiency Cotton mixed with Phase is ideal for SG Arenas, GF, RoB, and IW. Prove me wrong. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) To be more specific, you didn't include our only Lv.500 player's opinion. It was him, on whose suggestion I became an Elec Mage. Confuse and Sleep can be quite good in TT&T. Dunno about Blind.

As the old resist was another evade against magic, magnet also bypass it. Though it may be changed in the future patch as it is deviated from it description. QUOTE Confuse and Sleep can be quite good in TT&T. Dunno about Blind. Never used them. No idea. TTT is much easier than Hellfest so I dun think there is any need to use them if someone can farm token from GF. This post has been edited by Colman: Dec 9 2014, 20:03

QUOTE(tetron @ Dec 9 2014, 02:02) Archmage is very good in a Destruction Staff, because of its ability to stack with Forging.
I don't think archmage or butcher stacks with forging. archmage/butcher is only calculated from base stats. e.g. 1000 MDB staff with 5 archmage + max forging = 1000 MDB + 100 from archmage + 668.7 from forging. QUOTE(djackallstar @ Dec 9 2014, 22:22) idk what the best setup is, but you may take a look at some top elemental mages. (Lv >= 400)
n125 (wind mage) leg tempestuous ebony staff of destruction....
personally I think n125 has the best wind staff in HV, aside from peerless willow/redwood. It's raw stats is almost like a katalox staff. And it's not even fully forged. with full mdb forge, it can get another +3.3% MDB from what he has now. about 55MDB at my level. QUOTE(djackallstar @ Dec 10 2014, 00:27) wat do u think about "magnet + 5 phase" vs "no magnet + 3phases 2 cottons" as a holy mage?
personally I think the arguments about how many cottons you use is moot once your score is high enough. QUOTE(tetron @ Dec 10 2014, 00:52) Now it's your call. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) full phase is better for SG arenas and RoB. but it's not that noticeable with optimally maxed prof. and some people say cast speed > penetrator for GF, but I don't really know. QUOTE(tetron @ Dec 10 2014, 00:55) Magnet gives Counter Resist???? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) debuffing a monster with magnet means that monster(s) cannot resist your spells.

Wait, are you saying the resist doesn't work so they take 100% damage or are you saying if you cast dep spells they always hit? It seems unclear now and seems like the resist mechanic won't work for damaging spells but I think it's only for dep spells.

Yes, they have no resist against any of your spells: both offense and debuff. So for the last round of DwD, cast magnet on the dragons. they can resist magnet though. once magnet sticks, I cast silence, imperil and go to town.

Magnet for SG and Dragons. Its cool down is a bit annoying especially if it misses.
